some miseducation out there about Pac's seeming increase in power, speed, endurance, durability which can be easily explained. Certain undereducated people out there that quickly just jump on Floyd sr. bandwagon ********s***

First of Pac was already fighting between 140-148 rehydrating when he was a featherweight, super feather, and lightweight. He has since moved up in weight and has gotten stronger, "faster," more durable; and naturally so. He has gained some muscle but mainly, I think it is because he does not have to drain himself to make weight anymore. The fact that he does not have to lose weight to make weight and is healthier coupled with adding more dimensions to his game has naturally made him much better and stronger fighter then he was having to make weight. It is a bonus not having to concentrate on losing weight and tailoring his training to just accomplishing the job at hand. His body has not changed too much but he has gained some density which is also normal since he does not have to lose the weight anymore adding power. His speed has not changed much but his balance and technique has improved. Durability has gotten better because he is coming in healthy not having to make weight. Pacquiao was at his least durable at his lightest weights and hasn't gotten knocked down since he went down against nedal hussein though he has faced increasingly stronger and harder punchers after.
All in all I think that Manny is now fighting at his optimum weight. I think he belong's in the 140lb division but is good enough to compete at 147.

He has not gotten faster. That's a myth. He's just fighter slower, bigger guys. Most fighters at the lower weight classes have good handspeed to some degree. Everything else you said is correct.

That is why I put it in quotes. Some people might claim Peds have made him faster as well

Could very well be. If this is the case, Roach doesnt need to sap the hell out of opponents to make what he calls a more even playing field for his fighter. If Pac is a welterweight or a junior middle, let him fight at the limit.
I agree, his technique has improved as well as his footwork, so he is faster at the higher weight. I dont think he had to cut as much weight as some people seem to be claiming now. Remember he was having a tough time maintaining 144 in training. He has to actually eat more to maintain his weight. Fighters cut 5-6 pounds in a training session, so he had to eat a lot to maintain his weight and once training finished up he rehydrated up a few pounds.
Margarito on the other hand had to keep sweating and starving up until the weigh in, just to make 150.

Pacquiao opponents are not as good as a MARQUEZ or Morales.Counter punchers are what gives Pac fits.Counter and push him back with combinations.Rito and all these lww and welters gets hit in the face at will.

THis is correct, a counterpuncher is going to give him the most fits and Marquez and Morales werent even great ones, so thats why people think hes still pretty vulnerable.

When he was fighting at 130, he was coming in at fight time at 144-148 pounds. When he went up to welterweights, he was coming in at 142-144 and fighting at 148.

    Go figure.

It is not easy to counterpunch Pac anymore because he added one very important element in his arsenal - a potent right hand. For the past 3 fights, that right hand caused a knockdown or near KD (in case of Margarito). It was easy to counterpunch a left-handed fighter, but a two-fisted fighter is entirely different.

    :good

The only guy who gave Pac any real trouble, stylistically, was Cotto, becaust Cotto can in fact counterpunch a bit.

Additionally, guys at these lower weights like Morales and JMM have great chins AND are fast enough to handle Pac's speed. Additionally, they know how to take a damn step back and let Pac overextend himself.

When you let Pac dictate his way around the ring, Pac's footwork looks BRILLIANT. When you take Pac out of his footwork, he can look almost amateurish at times. :good

The reason he's fast is excellent biomechanics.
