Up to this hour, for the record, Marquez has not responded to Pac's challenge they fight again for his last chance to beat him. :deal 2/8/09 5:30 PM Manila time.
If Marquez does not ask for a rematch, you say he is afraid of Pacqiou. When Marquez went to the Phillipines to ask Pacquio for a rematch, you say he's arrogant and disrespectful.
Pac has spoken. No spokesman. No Arum. He wants to fight Marquez in clear terms. He wants to give him one last chance. Marquez has not responded. The silence is defeaning. What he has said so far is he wants to right a retired Floyd who is not biting. Only Schaefer, the master of lies and dirty tricks, is talking about Floyd-JMM as in the works. Where's the $20M for Floyd? No. Nothing. Just pure posturing. Marquez, if he really wants this fight, should waste no time accepting the challenge.
Have you not read my sources? Pac has accepted his challenge for a rematch and he has not responded up to now. :deal
Marquez said when he came to the Philippines that he wanted a rematch because this is what the boxing fans want. Now, Pac has agreed to that rematch. It's already a week, and Marquez or any of his handlers has not responded to the challenge.
Your source only says that Pac is willing and open for a third match against Marquez. He did not directly say "I challenge you Marquez to a rematch. Right after the Hatton fight. I'll be waiting for your reply, Juan Manuel." Nothing of that sort.
Marcelo, read this as hard as you can and tell me if this is not a challenge that Marquez is now dodging: :nono I did not see the Diaz fight but I heard that Marquez won the fight and This content is protected Pacquiao told setanta.com. I think there would be more action in the ring after our two battles and This content is protected --- Pacquiao What is the response of Marquez? :smoke
That is still not a formal challenge. That's simply an answer to a question of whether he's willing to have a third fight. If he directly addressed Marquez and actually said "Let's go Marquez. Next fight is Pac-JMM III. What do you say?", then I would say it's a real challenge that needs an immediate response.
PAC has an upcoming fight with Ricky, its good that he's up for the fight. But i think given the chance to fight Hatton, JMM probably takes it. Higher compensation. PAC will fight JMM after the Hatton fight win or lose, Problem is, will JMM pick PAC if Hatton won?
I can't blame you if that's how understood Pac's challenge: " if he wants to fight somebody, anybody, I wish that we will meet again, Pac is basically a non-confrontational person when he issues a challenge like this. He's so polite in issuing his statements. Unlike, Marquez who will go the extra length of challenging Pac.
