Malignaggi wins on points. Decebal, 1 + 6 and 2+ 5 are the same?!

Yeah, logically they are the same...but the emphasis is different. If you think Hatton is the favourite, you go for 1; if you think Malignaggi is the favourite, you go for 6; the same goes for 2 and 5...:good

Great thread . . . I've got an inkling that Hatton might really be past it at this point and I think he is definitely past the drive he had early in his career. In the Lazcano fight he showed definitely that he just didn't have the killer instinct anymore.

He still has the speed and the combinations, but he just doesn't seem to want to win as much anymore. I can hardly blame him, hes been talking about how "short lived" his style of fighting is for years, he knows he takes an awful beating in the ring and I'm sure he's tired of it.

That said, Paulie has shown recently that he will not quit in a fight even if he thinks he might die in the ring. Not every fighter has that. That's a special, albeit dangerous and perhaps foolhardy, quality in a fighter.

I think Hatton will take the early rounds based on agression, decently clean punching and practically pushing Malignaggi around the ring. But if he thinks Malignaggi will quit like Tzyu or fold under the pressure, or he is not ready to be on top of his game from round 1 to 12, there is a good possibility that Malignaggi will take control of the fight.

The concept of Malignaggi knocking Hatton out, however, is mindboggling. Malignaggi is not that kind of fighter. He has decent punching power, but he simply does not go for the knockout.
