Yes, it is. It doesn't diminish the brutality of it, though.

I think hes just sad that his career is over. He had high hopes that things were going to go back to the way they were and now its all ruined.

Thats gotta hurt worse than the physical pain.

I think he'll be okay. If he saves up and stays away from the craps table he's set up for retirement

Nonito has taken very little punishment throughout his career. And it's not like he's a shot fighter. He could come back and still win a title if he wanted to. Tonight he simply went up against a fighter who wasn't going to be denied. And the respect they showed towards one another post fight is what truly makes boxing great.

He can still get some work sparring, if Walters fights a fast opponent next time out.

What was sad was the thud of him hitting the canvas. 130? 135? Yeah right.

I don't get why he's up so high in weight anyways, His body looks terrible at 126 and I fail to see why he couldn't make 122 or even 118 again with proper diet and conditioning.

Other fighters lose one sided in their careers and don't fall as fast or hard as Nonito, that's the truly sad thing here...a confidence too easily shook.

I didn't see the fight but from my understanding that Nonito fought well but just lost to the younger, stronger guy. If anything imo Nonito hasnt looked the same since his FOTY status and personally I think a lot of it is the hunger just isn't the same as it used to be.

I think he should def drop back down in weight and still make some good money and add to what has been imo a pretty good career
