If Dirrell wins he will already have lost to Froch and been KOd by recent MW Abraham, whilst getting a DQ win, so has already been exposed as a fighter who couldnt handle Froch's pressure.

If Dirrell loses his only noted victory would be a DQ win over a former MW with no real SMW resume, who hadnt beaten anyone of note

If Ward loses, his only noted victory would be an illegal headbutt victory over Kessler, who we now know wasnt well, had only had 4 rounds in 13 months and was an already exposed fighter.

If Ward wins he will only have one respected name on his win resume which was a headbutt win over an unwell fighter.

So who will be the next potential hype job?

Neither - and I'd imagine anyone with a modicum of common sense or boxing knowledge would agree.

Ward was schooling Kessler before the headbutts, he was schooling him after the headbutts, he would have schooled him without the headbutts.

give ward some credit. he's pretty dirty but it's extremely rare to see young fighters these days be that cagey

    They are hype jobs already.
Look at the all the avatars of ***** dirrell who's best win comes from lying on his back like a ***** faking a ko.
SoG. Son of a goat, Wards best win come as a result of headbutting a double vision inactive Kessler.

    Hype? We are already there....:patsch:patsch

People say Lacy was a hype-job because he looked so terrible post-Calzaghe and his resume doesn't look impressive in the cold light of day.

A shot Reid? Manfredo? Vanderpool? Pemberton? Really?

Ward is already better than Lacy ever was and that should be obvious to anyone with even semi-functioning eyes.

Dirrell is more of a question mark. I think he'll lose to Ward but I very much doubt he'll fall off to the extent Lacy did. He's got the talent to give any Super-Middle a very hard night.

Losing to another excellent fighter doesn't mean a guy was never good to start with. Lacy wouldn't be dismissed if he achieved anything worth mentioning after the Calzaghe beating.

That's because Calzaghe ruined him that night.
Lacy had a promising carrer it's just that calzaghe dismantled him and took his soul.
I am surprised he didn't retire after that beating.

No way, when Hopkins lost to Roy Jones, no-one called Hopkins a Hype Job & he went on to unify the Middle-weight division,

Whoever loses this fight will more than likely face Bute, how they do in that fight will define them

Ward will catch more crap because of his large following and his questionable tactics. If Dirrell loses, I will bet money he will be back, he has too much talent to just fall off the map. And for the record........he beat Froch. lol.

this is a nationalistic, or rather anti nationalistic, thread. it's clearly against americans and that bias is clouding any sembelence of rational analysis.

you either know better and don't care or you don't know better and need to learn more about boxing

nah they're both young and have already stepped up the opposition level beyond what most Euro based fighters ever do, whoever loses still has a lot going for him especially experience against top level opposition

Bailey and herb are the only 2 ******s that always and i mean always bashed against american fighters. Both said that Mayweather, Williams and so on should fight european fighters that many here don't even know who the hell they are. These 2 just like farmboxer are racist in which those 3 should be banned. I'm tired of biased racist idiots.
