Whoever calls them a hype job for losing should completely switch to MMA and never ever watch boxing again, any filthy eye balls that would watch and call the loser of that one a hypejob is a dickhead. Ward got his hype like all gold medalists turning professional, do, he EARNED his hype. Dirrell barely got any hype, even in the tournament he was looked at as a heavy underdog who's too "green" for this tournament. Yet he hands Abraham his first loss and was robbed of handing Froch his first loss. No one normal would call either guy a fraud after losing. Ward was laughed at for going in against the almighty unstoppable force(as Calzaghe fans call him) Kessler, you know what happened there.

:rofl why do most americans go TOO far?

he's nowhere near as good as calzaghe.he won't prove anywhere near as much in his career as calzaghe did either.

The great thing now is, all wins come back to Calzaghe ie Joe beat Kessler who beat Froch who beat Dirrell, and if Dirrell beats Ward...

Ward still has a ways to go but he is young. Calzaghe had to wait til the tail end of his career to get his best wins. we shall see happens in time

Loses dont make a fighter a hype job, but read all of the poster numpty.
Dirrell lost to the limited Froch and his only noted win would be against a former MW by DQ, who has no real SMW and his big MW win was who? I think you can work the rest out

    no he hasn't!

calzaghe's win over eubank is better than a shot never was good in the first place mirander, green, and a kessler who was cheated all night by ward and the ref.

had he of beat kessler in a fair fight and kept it clean, then yes.but he didn't did he.

calzaghe's win over eubank is better than all three of wards put together!:yep

The luxury of a short cut from the super 6. He hasnt had to do it the hard way by beating all along the way.
But you obviously dont know what your talking about as Calzaghe beat Eubank, Reid and Woodhall earlier in his career who have achieved more than most of the super 6 fighters

yeah sure buddy. rationalize it however u want . ward dominated kessler. something calzaghe didnt do. you can be butthurt and blame the head butts and cry but bottom line is ward dominated. he looked very good in the process.

Ward wasn't even receiving that much attention before he dismantled Kessler. Before the Super 6 started, a lot of people were saying he and Dirrell were the least deserving entrants. Neither one of these guys have received any unwarranted hype in my opinion.

If Ward loses, he's already shown enough to prove he's not all hype. If Dirrell loses, people will be harsher on him but it's not like anyone is comparing him to Ray Robinson at the moment - we all know he has a lot of talent and are just waiting to see if he can put it all together.

Again - losing to another elite fighter doesn't make you a hype-job, especially when (unlike Lacy) neither guy has received any hype that wasn't coming his way.

Delusional springs to mind... Ward got dropped by Darnell Boone ffs in his 7 professional fight. The great Darnell Boone a 5'09" journeyman.
