Would Foreman have come back if he wasn't running out of money?
I doubt either Louis nor Foreman would go back into boxing under desperate conditions if they knew they couldn't win fights. So his financial woes should be irrelevant pertaining to the subject of his boxing abilities. It seems like an attempt to make one look out of their depth. In reality, he still had the goods.

Foreman and Louis both did comeback because they were out of money. Foreman retired after he made a bunch of money (thanks a lot to his grill). Louis retired when he still owed a lot more. Therefore, he retired because he did not have the goods.

Yeah, after a Rocky Marciano fight, you're usually never the same.

After a Marciano fight, you're usually ready for an AARP card.

Do you reckon that Marciano did more damage to Louis than Schmeling?

    I would say Marciano.
Schmeling brought Louis down with sustained volume sharp hard punching.
Rocky was jolting Louis with mule kick boulder punches, which I think is much worse for your health.

The last three punches Rocky hit Louis with were nasty.
He'd never been hit like that before or since.

What weasels do is take cheap shots then pretend like theyre just being honest and objective.

What weasels do is look at two direct quotes which contradict, and when they get called out on it play with words and shift the goal posts.

The only reason you brought it up was to try and discredit foreman, something you do like EVERY DAY.

Youre a joke, fraud, and liar.

Are you waging some sort of war against Louis' legacy? Nobody here is making any money off of these fighters as far as I know. Just chill out and enjoy the sport man. Life's short.

I'd say Schmeling, Louis said after the halfway mark he was fighting on instinct.

Louis wasn't the same when he climbed into the ring. I say that with no wish to denigrate Marciano who did what he had to do.Louis was getting the lion's share of the purse and Rocky couldn't decently avoid the fight,it was his gateway to the big time and a title shot.

I happened before he fought Cooney,Rodriguez, and Stewart.I think that those who laughed at George's comeback stopped laughing after he clinically took out Cooney.

Walcott v Marciano2 was Joe's last fight too!
    Lewis was the reigning champion.
Louis was an ex champion who hadn't been champ for 2 and a half years. Had been retired for 4 years previously .Had 1 fight in 2years ,[48-50] and had been comprehensively beaten by the man who had been champion 2 reigns previously. No comparison!
