I answered all that u just said
Eubank got KO in his 2nd fight he didnt retire, he started his career as a LMW and was previously a MW champ, so do u say Calzaghe beats a smaller man.
Bika aint a world class win, Beyer aint world class
Kessler's best wins being Mundine and Beyer dont make him top level, he just happen to be in a weak SMW at the time where only him and JC were good enuff to be on the world stage
Jones is 40, Hopkins is 43, if they fight no one gives a **** they both past prime and old men, no one will call em cherry pickers, no one will say they and ducking the best at LHW and CW to fight each other.

Who is reids best win, and is reid's best win better than Holmes beating the number 1 middleweight at that time Quincy Taylor?

and coz Pavlik came up 10 pounds above the limit he was champ makes the Hopkins win less worthy despite Pavlik fighting 16 times above the MW division, and him being the favorite.

    I dont understand ur point

are u saying Calzaghe has better wins than Hopkins?
Hopkins beat the better opposition, do a poll on the GF and im sure majority will agree

Calzaghe never fully lived up to his potential. Great boxer, could have been much greater if he took some more difficult fights.

    Hopkins is much more accomplished.

ok i apologise, but thats all it looks like, if u followed boxing and even P4P rankings, Hopkins enters top 10 P4P in 1999. 3 years after becoming champion.

while Calzaghe enters top 10 P4P in 2006. 9 years after being WBO champ

BHop was number 1 P4P in 2002 and 2004, number 2 in 2001 and 2003, and the highest Calzaghe has been is number 3 in 2008, number 10 in 2006, and number 5 in 2007.

Hopkins always has been regarded better than Calzaghe.

Eubank was at that stage an established SMW
Beyer not world class? 3 time WBC champ, wins over Green (when undefeated) Woodhall, Sheika
If Kessler is in weak division and not so good why the excitement over Wards good victory over him? Or why people commend Butes 2 wins over Andrade who Kessler had beaten?
Hopkins is still voted as #1 LHW so regardless of age he would be cherry picking if he fought the younger Jones cause Jones hasnt re-established himself after a 1st round KO

Reid won away in Italy against a champ that also went on to challenge again
With Pavlik, Hopkins was getting him to come in heavier, the 16 time you mention which I couldnt confirm werent against class fighters except Taylor who Pavlik had already beaten and who has been beaten badly since.
    Whats your point?

We can also look forward to this debate rearing it's head every time Kessler fights in the S6.

It's going to be hilarious if Froch beats him.

The thread was if Hopkins & Calzaghes resumes were reversed etc. Never about other fighters as such, sadly no one answered, misunderstood the question, and it all drifted, with me to blame as much for it doing so

" Hopkins Is The Better Fighter " i quote that from an earlier post , Yet this isent a Thread about who is Better it's about comparing the fighters they faced to discuis infact how close there resumes truly are , Oh and for the record Calzaghe BEAT Hopkins was a close fight beat say what you want but if you no Boxing and can fairly,Non-Biasedly score the fight Calzaghe comes out the Winner everytime as was the case of how 2 of the 3 judges scored it , Even thow i had it a UD , now ive cleared that up let's get bck on point in this thread

People got caught up in Kelly Pavlik hysteria. Whilst he is a good fighter he is far from great.

I said to my friend that Hopkins would run away with it and he did.

As for the Winky fight, whilst it was at 170, it is still 10lbs heavier than what Winky was fighting at.

Tarver was a very good solid win over a good champion. Im not taking away from the victory, but yes i agree everyone (myself included) underestimated Hopkins and thought he would lose.

Im not bashing Hopkins as you cant help but admire what he has or is achieved/achieving, but i think it is being over nuthugged.

Seen as the Pavlik performance was seen as one of Hopkins best wins, whilst Calzaghes good win over Lacy is always condemned as being a victory over an overated fighter.....well Lacy has achieved more than Pavlik so far and his title reign for what it was, was superior to that of Pavlik.

Another example of how some of Calzaghes victories are better than hes credited for, ie He beats Veit twice who in turn beats Brahmer 1st time round, who is now fighting for a world title. Yes I know all fights/fighters are different but it still shows that the Veit victories arent quite as hollow as they 1st look

Look Bailey, we all know your trying to hype up Calzaghes resume, but it just simply isn't up their with the likes of Bhop, and thats where it ends.

When Bhop beats Dawson I will be impreessed. You are right in many ways, I think Hopkins beating Tarver was impressive. I think beating Pavlik was impressive as Pavlik was suppoed to be a young lion. Those two wins plus his other wins over guys who should have been fighting one or two divisions lower are greater than anything Joe C did.
