It should also be noted that when Kessler was healthy and trying to make a fight, Bute offered him a substantial payday, likely 3X what he's going to get 2nite vs Green. He all but offered him 50/50. Kessler ducked the challenge and went after EU(WBO) champion Steiglitz.

Bute also offered Steiglitz arguably a career high payday for a unification fight. While this fight would likely double Steiglitz total career earnings, the chances are it would be his very last title fight, and therefore take away his decent paydays for a long while.

Bute also offered a resurging Kelly Pavlik a very nice payday relative to the typically amount at the weight. Pavlik himself is a huge draw though and it wouldn't likely be his last 1mil+ payday. He drank himself out of that fight so it wasn't a duck, BUT.......let's not presume that Bute is cherry picking.

Fact- Bute was originally excluded from the s5 tournament b/c of his HBO contract. Had he been a free agent he would been in the tournament and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Fact- Bute left HBO(the higher paying network) to sign with Showtime specifically for the purpose of being allowed into the tournament as an alternate.

Fact- Showtime signed Lucian Bute to a huge multi-fight deal for the sole purpose of using him as thier main alternate in the s5.

Fact- When approached with contracts regarding the entry of Lucian Bute into the s5 tournament, Dan G@@53N, at the request of his leige, refused to copromote with interbox and used original wording in the s5 contracts stating that any alternate fighters must be approve by ALL remainng participants. By refusing to copromote with Interbox, Ward was essentially able to walk from the s5 had Showtime allowed Bute to fight Green rather than Johnson as a replacement for Kessler.

Fact- Showtime has refused to air Bute's recent bout vs Froch b/c they have only that one fight left on his contract and they wanted it to be against Ward.

Fact- Bute has called out Andre Ward publicly and offered him a career high payday.

Fact- Bute has publicly called out Ward stating he would fight him in Oakland if only to make the fight. However, this would be promoted soley by Dan G@@53N(opinion- so it would make no where near the 10+million Interbox could guarantee in a purse split).

While I truly appreciate the nature of the OPs breakdown of the H2H comparisons, it's filled with opinion and conjecture.

All the facts are on Bute's side.

Including the FACT that he rose at 8 seconds vs Andrade and when he rose the fight was OVER with no need to be able to continue.:deal
