    was short lived...

He lost that fight , the guy was exposed but the ufc needs a consistent champion. So there was no way Shogun was gonna win this by ud. He needed a ko , sub or tko victory in order to secure a victory but he didn't.

I mean just imagine. After all the ****ing insane hype behind the machida clan , they weren't just gonna give the dec to shogun...MMA is starting to look more and more like boxing...plagued by dubious judges' decisions.

Or maybe this isn't fair...because the UFC isn't mma. Just an organisation. But it's pretty clear that it's taking a similar route.

Exposed? Oh for **** sake, you're acting like he's Khan. What's his issue man? He has an amazing chin and was hitting Rua well, the key is the legs, and Rua won the fight, fair enough. But ****ing hell, you act as if he's the Mayweather of the LH division. He won 15 of his fights undisputed, and suddenly everyone's all "HE'S EXPOSED! HE'S A PHONEY".

Sick of ****ing people judging these days.

We should sent a clear message to UFC and not buy the next event.. I hope Shogun leaves UFC and go to Strikeforce

Dana better come out and say he thought Rua won, he can't cover up a decision this horrible.

YOu can also talk about the monster hype for Cain V. Too me it was a OK win for him. For a guy that is too be a killer wrestler with bigtime power...Ben kept powering back up..and didn't seem that hurt when it was stopped...UFC is about Hype... Rua got screwed..that is for sure...Also, this card wasn't that good at all, and the Main Event did live up to the Hype, the the Judges got it all wrong IMO that is.

Shogun could easily have won that fight 50-45, the judges flat out ****ing robbed him.

The key is that those are the same judges who work for all other organizations too; I don't really see a motive for keeping Machida as champ over Shogun at the expense of a clear robbery; Shogun is 9 times out of 10 the more exciting fan friendly fighter.

This is getting ridiculous. Shogun worked his ass off for that fight and should have claimed his victory. I understand that in Combat sports, if their's no stoppage, it becomes a sport based on opinion, I understand that, but to award a UD to a fighter that landed NOTHING significant, landed nothing of damage, or anything of real note, it comes a point that for a fight fan(and for a fighter) when you have the right to ***** just a little bit. This decision tonight was absolute ****in crap!!! I would think judges would atleast do a better job screwing someone if they wanted to take a victory away from a fighter, but no, they made this **** blatantly obvious. And shame on Machida for admitting he got his ass handed to him. ****in disgusting!!!:fire

If Ben Rothewell was just some no talent big guy you might have a point, but he is a solid fighter with a lot of experience who isn't the easiest guy to hold down, he got ragdolled by Cain.

Perhaps those Judges thought it was a boxing match so they didn't count all the leg kicks by shogun.

Yeah, I know **** all about boxing and UFC history, I admit that.

But what is exposure in the fighting world? Not what I saw tonight. Exposure is when a fighter shows something that other fighters can follow up with, what their weakness is and guys can capitalise. What happens if someone like Griffin or Jardine try to do what Rua did against Machida? They go for his legs and he will pick them off all ****ing night. He didn't "expose" him, he beat him. Because he's Rua, he's that good and he's sparred with him, he didn't go in with tactics that wouldn't work for Machida like Evans and Thiago did. Everyone has to pick faults with a fighter. I'm stunned that people have such an obsession with an undefeated fighter yet at the same time want to pick holes in them.

I just don't get it man. He comes into the fight all elusive, never been knocked down, never lost, and then he loses a split decision (in my eyes) and everyone is all "OMG HE EXPOSED". Yeah, exposed, let's see the upcoming LH division expose him, let's see Thiago do it. Please, feel free to name one fighter in that division who will be able to do that against Machida except Rua and Silva. The answer is: none more black.

Rua did awesome tonight and deserved the win, but it was not a robbery, and it was not an exposure, get your facts together and appreciate what you saw tonight.

Man, the fight could have gone either way. I had Shogun up by 1 point, but fukin Joe Rogan was so biased with Shogun it was sickening. Machida would land a hard punch while shogun would land a leg kick and Rogan would only comment on the leg kick. Me and another watching couldn't believe how repeatedly Rogan would neglect to say anything about Machida's connects and only comment on Shoguns. Shitty fight regardless and Machida needs to step it up.
