stats say Shogun out landed and threw to Machida, also damage (visualy anyway) was also in favor of Shogun.
Whether Evans would fair better or worse vs Rua than he did vs Machida is irrelevant, the fact is, its highly unlikely Evans could beat Rua, he aint on Rua`s level in a striking sense & he`d likely get his ass submitted if he took Rua down - which aint a guarantee either.
I can't believe the yahoo sports article today from Kevin lole who the covers the UFC: Shogun has no one to blame but himself If this fool getting paid by Dana? He's placing the blame on shogun and his trainers, while defending the judges.atsch
Well duh, it was a close fight. Rogan's on the payroll too and was clearing favoring Shogun with his bias commenting during the fight.
His job is to call the fight as he sees it live, and shogun was landing all the actual shots. Why would he be favoring the losing fighter who was Machida?:huh
The fight was great. One thing for sure is that noone was exposed. I had Machida up by 1 point. Rematch will be amazing.
Dave Meltzer said that everyone he spoke to from the UFC thought that Rua won. It's not the UFC's fault. They don't pick the judges. Blame the CSAC. Also, from the Wrestling Observer site.... http://www.f4wonline.com/content/view/11089/ How the **** could anyone give Machida round four?
So why was Rogan constantly commenting on Machida's reddened stomach yet neglecting to mention Shoguns equally reddened stomach?
Anyway, I have a feeling the hype was getting to Machida's head when you look at some of the comments he was making leading up to the fight. Case in point, talking about making 5 title defenses then wanting Brock. Wtf. Make 1 defense at a time. Looking ahead like that is never good.
