You really are a complete moron and cretin. I don't mind if you don't think Ali is the greatest or that you might prefer Louis, Tyson or Lewis ahead of him that's all legitimate opinion. It's when you completely diss him as though he virtually achieved nothing. Concentrating on his lows which every fighter who laced them up had to contend with rather than his highs. If there's a heavyweight with a more stacked resume than Ali then show me him, irregardless of whether you think Ali is the greatest. Then when someone disagrees with your opinion you come out with the usual cliched "your mother" routine. As I've stated you are a complete and utter moron.
these same people do it with Leonard too, especially Saad 54, Bokaj, and that numbskull with the man sitting on his lap. in reality he quit the sport becuz he couldnt compete with the premier fighters of his day when i bring up the unimpressive bout with Bonds, they make a reply to that topic, then just repeat how great he was in his prime
prime Ali, what can I say? what else was he supposed to achieve in that decade. posters here tend to extrapolate to unrealistical degrees whenever you see missing performances IMO, Ali had his best year ever in '72, again in 74 & 75. shouldve quit then N there instead of waiting to get embarrassed by Young, and murdered by Norton
Ali's performance against Berbick is criminally underrated. He was closer to his prime that night than away from it. Peace out. Happy New Years!
Let me guess the Kitschko bothers are the greatist heavy weight ever.Ali wouldnt have gotten ko by C Sanders and r Putty.Ali is the greatest of all times. watch the video when wald gets ko you really think Wald would have beaten ALI ? PS You dont know sh.. about boxing. You cabbage eating EE boys crack me up always trying to change boxing history .Your thread is the dumbest thing i have ever herd since your mother announce your birth
Ali's 70's opposition was better overall, but I don't think there's that much in it. Top 5 60's opposition (considering their quality at the point Ali beat them): Liston, Terrell, Patterson, Mildenberger/Jones Top 5 70's opposition (considering their quality at the point Ali beat them): Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Ellis, Quarry The main difference here is that Ali beat two guys that are arguably top 10 during the 70's and "only" one in the 60's. But I think Terrell and Patterson are underrated wins. Terrell had beaten Williams, Folley, Machen, Foster, Chuvalo and Jones before he faced Ali. Not too many contenders have put together a streak like that. And Patterson would in his 30's fare quite well against the new crop of contenders. He should have gotten the decision over Ellis imo, had close fights with Quarry and beat Bonavena. A past prime Patterson being so competitive with these guys does not fit easily with the idea that Ali's 70's opposition was that superior. Liston, Terrell and Patterson together beat almost everyone of note from 1955-1965 and Ali outclassed all three. Not too many fighters can boast something similar.
he was fine yeah, but against holmes he was in his absolute peak, but tyson is better, he did beat holmes badly and holmes stopped ali
yes, all we watched that foreman had real problems with these guys and all was real, foreman was jumping like bugs bunny he always did it when he was focused
I never said Ali thought he had Foreman beat by round 2, He did! Ali fought nobody from 68-70 moron. Except Quarry and Bonavena in the later part of 1970.
