I think in 1 on 1 sports it comes down to technique first but then factors like conditioning, speed, power, strategy, adaptability and grit can overcome these things

Technique is Ward but kovalevs is underrated criminally

Conditioning, I'd say Kovalev, Ward hasnt really been tested or been in a real fight since Froch

Speed is Ward but he isnt as fast at 175 as he was at 168

Power its Kovalev

Strategy we dont know til the fight happens

Adaptability is something I think both can do well with maybe a push

Grit not sure possibly Ward given how he handled Froch with 1 hand

I think Ward is a little bit of mystery given he hasnt beaten anyone of note since Dawson and has hardly been tested at all. We dont really know what level he is on. At the same time history lately has showed the boxer wins the big fights, Floyd Mayweather and Hopkins for years just pulling it off time and time again. But i think kovalev holds his own.

My belief is that Kovalev doesnt need much to take a guy out and doesnt have to land completely flush to do it. I think its possible that Ward will be ahead and Kovalev will knock him out. I expect a cautious fight for maybe 4 rounds and then it opens a little and then Wards outta there

Ggg is a once in infinity fighter, Kovalev is just that level below BUT Kovalev can box snd im beginning to see Kovalev being the superior boxer right up till ko 7,8 or 9..**** 10 or 12. I believe once AGAIN that is the far better boxer just like last time he was supposed to get schooled
