After his loss to Ottke by MD in 2003, Mads beat the then unbeaten 28 year-old Danilo Haussler and then retired. Almost 4 years later, and he was back. In the last 6 months he has fought 4 times - 8 rounders every time, against journeymen...most of them rated outside the top 100.

So is Mads making a strong comeback at 35 in February?

    What are his plans?

How far can he go? :think

    sean rates him highly...! :deal

He's been slow and his defense is sloppy in these come back fights. It also seems like he lost much of his punching power.

I think its too late, he might crack the top 15, but when he steps up the competition, he will be ko'ed badly.

Why is he back? What is he hoping to achieve? Is it the money?

Probably the money. Maybe a mid-life-crisis? Maybe he got inspired by Mikkel Kessler? Anyway, he was a decent fighter, but seems to be over the hill now. Something like a poor mans Mikkel Kessler. His plans are probably to get another shot at the EBU belt, well, it's possible since he's on a winning streak (although against journeymen), but I don't think he can do it anymore.
