This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected After his loss to Ottke by MD in 2003, Mads beat the then unbeaten 28 year-old Danilo Haussler and then retired. Almost 4 years later, and he was back. In the last 6 months he has fought 4 times - 8 rounders every time, against journeymen...most of them rated outside the top 100. So is Mads making a strong comeback at 35 in February? What are his plans? How far can he go? :think sean rates him highly...! :deal
He's been slow and his defense is sloppy in these come back fights. It also seems like he lost much of his punching power. I think its too late, he might crack the top 15, but when he steps up the competition, he will be ko'ed badly.
Probably the money. Maybe a mid-life-crisis? Maybe he got inspired by Mikkel Kessler? Anyway, he was a decent fighter, but seems to be over the hill now. Something like a poor mans Mikkel Kessler. His plans are probably to get another shot at the EBU belt, well, it's possible since he's on a winning streak (although against journeymen), but I don't think he can do it anymore.
