Which one of these things do you think it was the main reason? Please vote and discuss. Thanks.

Many have Hagler winning the fight. I had it 7-5 for Hagler as well. Leonard wore white and captured the judge's attention and won the fight that way!

3rd option, which resulted in 1st option.

The judges and Hagler being past his prime.

Ray was quicker and his flurries and movement scored him points and allowed him to keep Hagler missing

one of the judges had it 118-110. Definitely shady.

I had it 7-5 Leonard, but it could have easily gone the other way. I think Halger threw away the first 2 rounds which probably cost him the fight. Leonard did well in capturing the judges eye with the more 'flashy' work.

Two of the judges could not count.

This was one of the most controversial fights in the history of boxing. I'm not trying to argue about who really won the fight since it could have gone either way. I just would like to know what people thought about it.

I agree. The score 118-110 was too unreasonable.

But on a hindsight, Ray knew what he was doing.

He chose to face Hagler at the perfect time. Hagler slowed down considerably and has had wars with Hearns and Mugabi.

Then during the fight, he chose to throw flurries at the last 10 seconds of the rounds which actually made it look like he finished strong. Made impression with the judges who for 2 minutes 40 seconds were looking at a close round.
