How do you rate Cotto's body shots?

Floyd can beat Pac but i doubt it. He doesnt have the same power and backpedaling speed to keep Pac away.

who has Floyd effectively defended against who has an offense as good as Pacquiao's?

    The question goes both ways.

Floyd will not sit with Pac and fight, he will Jab and run.
Pac will catch him and bust his ass up

Judah. He's doesnt have the mental toguhness of Pac and thats why he never reached the potential that someone with his talent should have, but Judah is very explosive and fast with his offense.

That lasts until the final round?. No way Judah matches Pacs arsenal. One punch speed maybe.

The main reasons why Pac will lose by a close UD (or SD if he can keep it busy) are:

    1) Reach disadvantage a) making it impossible to catch Floyd from distance, Pac would have to step in giving Floyd extra time for defense & counter b) arms too short to land the right over Floyd's left shoulder when he pulls back
    2) Lack of speed advantage for the first time in career
    3) Lack of very effective defense vs. elite counterpunchers which is very important vs. Floyd

Pac is probably the best fighter in the world. He can gameplan against everyone, and he has more skills than needed to carry out those gameplans.

Pac takes away his opponents advantage one way or the other. All these theories doesnt work with Pac.

We've been hearing the same predictions one way or the other, its baffling really:hey

Given Floyds speed, it will at least be difficult to beat him. However, the main concern for Pac can be to just avoid running into a combination like Hatton did. Play it safe, win rounds over activity, not allowing Floyd to play his holding and spoiling game (just hold too, do not try to hit him when held), and when Floyd later tries to rally, just give him the round without taking damage. Floyd can't box offensively for many rounds for 12 rounds these days, if he cannot simply potshot a slower foe. The key is the gameplan, and avoiding getting buzzed late like Hatton did when that one continued to seek for his own offense instead of thinking defense. Now, with Hatton being buzzed by Pac in under three rounds with not many punches, chances are that this wasn't Floyds big punching strength, but Hattons non-existing chin from his weight excesses. It's not about KOing, it's finding a way to rack up rounds, not getting drawn into Floyds spoil game.

However, this would be Pacs hardest fight, since Floyd isn't as dumb as Cotto, trying to "impress" him with hardness when that is not working.
