I've just come back from Soneva Fushi in the Maldives (you will never get to go anywhere like this) with my girlfriend hence my lack of appearance here for a while, so thanks for all of your concerns but I was literally on holiday. Anyway, during the flight I watched 'Premonition' the film, was OK. Anyway, I fell asleep soon after and envisioned Joe Calzaghe getting knocked down in sparring for the Kessler fight by some journeyman. Therefore, I am officially changing my prediction for the fight to a Kessler TKO.
it all goes back to what happened after the lacy fight, use your brain. mind games my friend. :thumbsup
Rubbish. Kessler demonstrated his devastating stopping power by KOing iron chinned legend Mundine in round 6. He can do the same to Calzaghe, therefore.
Because Kessler is one oif the best of the last decade and no boxer should beat him aged 35. If a 35 year old somehow did beat Kessler, it would make them the undisputed GOAT, and from what I have heard here, Calzaghe isn't the GOAT.
fair play to you KO Boxing. I fell into the trap I must admit!!! i have not been back to this board for some time and i cannot believe/was totally shocked to see china hand joe has started 'putting from the rough'... and going for Kessler! :wtf is going on! Of all the guys who used to stick up for Calzaghe!!! Next blocky will be backing Kessler at this rate! For my money though, i still think Calzaghe has it in him to beat Kessler. I think he will be nervous and a nervous Calzaghe is a truely awesome boxer. Even people who love rimming Bhop/Kessler/Lacy/Jones know that a tip top Calzaghe has a chance against any boxer within his weight. I just hope Calzaghe cares enough to train like he did when facing Lacy!
A few people I have spoken to think Hatton has a better chance of winning his fight than Calzaghe has of beating Kessler. I donno about his one. You cannot really bet against Calzaghe. Kessler isn't awesome by any means, whereas Calzaghe looks unbeatable.
