No, Crawford would beat Manny, but he wouldn't destroy Manny. Benevidez had one leg, low workrate, and slow handspeed and Crawford didn't destroy him. If you stand still and welcome Manny in, you're dead. Manny would have stopped Benevidez and sooner. You'll also notice that Broner didn't fight Manny like he fought Mikey/Vargas/Porter/Maidana. He stood his ground with those guys, but literally ran from Manny. And Pacquiao STILL almost badly hurt him twice.
I don't care what anyone says, it's not easy to look good against anyone who is not willing to engage, and is 100% in survivor mode. I honestly believe that if Broner stood his ground and engaged (even just a little more), he'd be on his back a few times.
Well, duh. I was PRAYING that Broner would try to walk Manny down w/ a high guard like he did to Mikey and Marcos in the late rounds.
Loma is not better than Pac, Loma and Pac fight differently and Pac is just as efficient as Loma in what he does. Even now I suspect that Pac would knock Loma out cold.
Guys.... the weight difference was too much to make Loma/Pac realistically. Was too much to expect Loma to move to 140 and keep his effectiveness, as well as for Pac to move too low and keep his.
Crawford punches harder than Marquez, the left hook that stopped Benevidez was as hard as the right hand JMM knocked Manny out with.
You guys need to give it up. Loma is never going to 140lbs, let alone 147. He's already on record saying a 40yr old Pacquiao is not interesting in the slightest to him. It was a hard pull going up to 135lbs (his father was against it), and fighting tall, long , strong fighters like Linares and Pedraza has presented certain challenges. "Certain challenges" turn into KO's and injuries when you push even farther up in weight. Luke Campbell, Crolla, Fortuna, Devin Haney, Teofima Lopez, Ryan Garcia, Robert Easter, Richard Commey, Berchelt, Tank Davis, Abner Mares, Tevin Farmer, etc, etc, etc. All these guys are at 130-135lbs and are either established or coming up
