Vince, good to see ya' back posting more often. Now I'm a good fan of Briggs, but Wlad ain't scared of no damned body. Proof was in the pudding when Haye had to pull out. It PROVED a few things for ALL to see:

    1. Wlad seems to have the whole upper eschelon of HW's on speed dial.
    2. Not a damned one of them (Chag obviously ended up takin' it) wanted any of Wlad and weren't too shy to say so in public. Personally, I found that window of time where they were looking for a step in quite amusing.:yep

Shannon is the uncrowned 1 round champion of the world, hurts doesn't it? I think the 4 round title still belongs to butterbean though.

Damn you Klit-ites and your 12 round bull****.

Shannon Briggs LOOKED like one of the most talented heavyweights in history...........Just like ALOT of guys throughout the years have.

He had natural talent, no doubt.

What he didn't have was heart or dedication. Those things can't be taught......you either have it or you don't.

    His desire is dog**** too.

All this Wlad was ducking Briggs is pure horse****.
Briggs lost to McCline in his fight for the #1 WBO spot in 2002 (and got knocked down by the way).
A 1997 version of Briggs might have given Wlad some problems (though I don't understand why he ran away from Foreman), the 260+ living statue, however, doesn't stand a chance...

Wlad clearly ducked Briggs, in fact it was one of the most shameless duck jobs of the past 10 years or so. A few years ago when asked who would be the toughest fight out there for Wlad trainer Steward replied "Shannon Briggs, he is a big strong fighter with very fast hands and great power, that would be a fight that would be tough for Wlad, the first few rounds would be scarry" A few days after those comments Wlad pulls out of the fight with Briggs.

YOu Klit fans can try and claim it didnt happen all you like but you all know it did:good

It's probably in vain telling a crackhead, but Klitschko has offered Briggs management a voluntary defense, and Briggs management DECLINED, obviously without asking or telling him (see the press conference where he had no clue that he could have got the title shot but his manager said no thanks). So much for "ducking".

Please what a load of bull****...The fight was set and ready to go at MSG in New York...Steward came along and started talking about how he didnt like that fight and how Briggs was a dangerous fight, next thing you know the fights off...It was a clear cut case of ducking, as I stated one of the clearer cases of ducking in the past 10 years or so.

Did you pull that out of your behind, or did Shannon tell you that crap ?

What do you think why Wlad reprimanded Shannon live during the press conference that he send Shannons management a contract, and that one didn't take it, without Shannon answering anything but "Uhm .... uhhhh ... uhhh ... I WILL GO TO PARTY !:bolt" ?

Fail....No one is saying that Briggs is a great fighter, what Briggs represents is a guy that is a bad style matchup for Wlad. He fights the first few round like his shorts are on fire, but after that he isnt worth much...Wlad is a slow starter with a weak chin...Ie anyone that has big time power fast hands and throws punches is a bad style matchup for Wlad. You guys can spin it anyway you like, but Wlad always seems to avoid those kinds of fighters, and when he has faced those kinds of fighters he has lost or at least had some very shaky moments in those fights. When the fight was suppose to happen I was leaning towards Wlad winning over Briggs but the fact remains Steward thought is was a dangerous fight and then the fight didnt happen. END OF STORY

Fail. Wlad knocked MCcline out in ten. Jameel beat the **** outta Briggs and dropped him. Shannon could not deal with a man he outweighed by 50 pounds. Sultan spanked his ass. Wlad beat Sultan easy.
