Alexander Bahktin is looking for Rigo and is the No.4 WBA contender. Apparently his promoter has contacted Rigo's manager and received no response.

If Rigondeux wont take this fight hes a snobby *****.

These are the sorts of fights he should be taking to prove he is on the elite level and to make some extra money. He apparently wants to find some easy way to the top but it is never easy. He should fight this guy, knock him out and then call out Donaire after Donaire beats Arce and Nishioka.

That's the whole trouble with prospects nowadays: they want shortcuts and instant fame, instead of earning it the old-fashioned way. Lazy *******s.

Exactly, he has to realise he's not getting a shot like that, you have to earn it one way or another.

He already went to Ireland and beat the European champ. Now he has to go to Russia ?
Does your hate make you blind?, why can't stay here, as a champion, and beat contenders? Or unify some belts? I'm gonna tell you this, Rigo isn't afraid to go anywhere and fight anybody but....where is Mares,Moreno,Arce, Vazquez Jr,Montiel,Darchiyan,Perez,Agbeko? Anybody at 118-122...oh no,! Now to prove himself he should go to Siberia and fight this guy.And I'm not talking Nonito who apparently is under therapy because is nightmares about rigondeaux

Rigo's and Bakhtin's teams have been talking about this one for some time already. Rigo's manager said weeks ago that Bahktin is one of the possible names.

    Rigo is clearly ducking him.

Thats all it takes for it to be consider a duck here at ESB. A guy just has to call out a fighter and if the fighter doesnt accept the fight then its ducking.

the funny thing is the fighter (Don Nadie) has an excuse valid or not, and his fans had another one, Rigondeaux needs not to prove himself against anyone, he is a legitimate Belt holder and was an interim before that regardless of how many fights he has, he is that good, and if Don Nadie think that he could whoop his a$$ then, why not fight him and became a legitimate belt holder, because what he won is a scrap left by Arce... Rigondeaux is not a prospect stop with that BS, he is arguably the best amateur ever and is proving his worth in the professional ranks, and some elite fighters are running scare, they should be ashame of themselves along with their promoters, why do you think GR hasn't fought like any other "prospect" 4 or 5 times a year? because just like Gamboa did, fighters will line up in the beginning to prove that professional was another beast, once he knock a few heads or I should say a few bodies, no more fights for Rigondeaux.

    Thats how ridiculous its become.

However, this would be a very good fight, a high risk, possibly low reward fight for RIgo. Will he take it? Lets hope so.

Bahktin needs to fight Rigo over here in the US, being that he hasn't faced any noteworthy opposition. Rigo did enough in his one sided whooping over the champion Rico Ramos to not need to go overseas for a fight. Donaire is the fight that needs to be made at this division.

Considering Rigo draws 4 cuban posters and a few flies to his fight, he should be willing to go anywhere where his opponent can draw more than a thousand paying customers.

Sorry Kid Cubano, I didn't mean to disrespect Rigo but it gets annoying with all the "ducking" talk. Noone is ducking noone, its a business. I also hope Donaire will fight Rigo someday but for now, Rigo will have to forge his draw the hard way; by continuing to entertain people so people other than us will force the match.
