It's not that crazy a notion...but what's even more ridiculous is pretending to being SHOCKED that people think he won.

    114-114

I love that fight - a great tactical war between two of my favorite fighters. It was very close and I don't have a problem with someone scoring it for Pacquiao or Marquez so long as it's not by a wide margin either way. Nor do I think any less of Pacquiao for not winning on my score card. Stylistically they made for a very even match. I scored the first for Pacquiao and as someone alluded to if they fought 10/20 times in the lower weight classes I think the end result would be about even.

Providing Marquez gets past Katsidis I wouldn't be surprised to see them go at it again sometime next year at light welterweight - it's not as if there is a massive number of great opportunities for Pacquiao in the immediate future if Mayweather isn't happening.

First fight, Pacman dropped Marquez 3 times and might of won a round or 2 after. Marquez outboxed and outlanded him throughout the rest. Even if the judge made the mistake JMM still should of won by outlanding Pac. A draw is fair. 2nd fight Pacman boxed better, by then he was already employing Manila Ice and fought alot like he does today, but at 130. JMM did even better in the rematch and it was a close, but clear win for JMM. Instead Pacquiao got the win. Pacquiao never beat JMM. Plain and simple. Not at 126-130 at least. And I give full credit to JMM because he actually fought with 2 versions of Pacquiao, the one dimensional slugger and the new, smarter, 2 fisted fighter that resembles the one today. Of all the media networks and papers, 1 out of 30 might of given it to Pacquiao. It's as clear as day JMM won. Maybe Pacquiao wins any other night, but no way did he win the rematch. No ****ing way.

I've scored this fight a draw, a win for Pac and a win for Marquez

iIt's hard to say that it was clear as day that either guy won though. watching the vid, there are a lot of shots for Marquez that I thought landed but didn't, same goes for Pac and some shots I still can' tell if they landed or not. So if it takes a video with slow mo clips of every exchange to decide a fight... that is not winning it "clear as day". None of the judges had the benefit of watching this with slow mo clips.

Heck, even in the vids, there are some shots that I'm not sure if they were being replayed because they landed or because they missed, or even because it looked like they landed but actually missed because the camera angles weren't very good. Even the criteria of the scoring in the videos seems subject to personal preferences, sometimes defense is taken into account, sometimes it just goes down to purely deciding it on who landed more sometimes taking to account which shots landed looked cleaner or harder. The fact that it was scored 7-5 (I didn't watch the last part, but 11 and 12 were clearly Marquez rounds) with a couple of rounds where the maker of the video admitted the rounds were really really close (to the point of being a draw) just goes to show that even with the benefit of replays and slow motion... this fight was just incredibly close. There's nothing clear about this at all.

Strange, I've always thought that round 1 was the deciding round, but it really seems like round 7 (9 comes in at a close 2nd) was the real clincher. Whoever won that won the fight, and if you can't decide and have it a draw, then the fight's a draw. Before this I had this fight for Pac, after watching the vid, I'm back to draw territory again.

    1. Pac 10-9
    2. JMM 10-9 (clearly)
    3. Pac 10-8 (clearly)
    4. Pac 10-9 (clearly)
    5. JMM 10-9 (clearly)
    6. JMM 10-9 (Clearly)
    7. JMM 10-9 (Clearly) *
    8. JMM 10-9 (Clearly)
    9 Pac 10-9 **
    10. Pac 10-9 (Clearly)
    11. JMM 10-9 (Clearly) ***
    12. JMM 10-9 (Clearly)

    FINAL: 114-113 for JMM.

    * This is a easy round to score but people might not see it that well, before the Marquez cut JMM was winning the round with ease, after the cut Pac makes a comeback and he might be winning the round by a bit but after 2 or 3 seconds he tries to keep going against jmm and he gets countered hard, so the round goes to jmm by a bit, until here to the end of the round jmm keeps winning the round making it clear...

** Difficult round to score but I would give it to pac, Pac starts winning the round good, then jmm makes a comeback and he might tie the round but after 2 seconds pac connects a hard straight left going the round for pac, then in the last 30 secs marquez makes a comeback again and he might tie the round again but in the last second pac connects a hard straight left to win the round...

*** This might be difficult to score for some people because pac finish the round with a nice right hook but if you separate the round in parts you can see it wasnt enough clearly those last 5 seconds for pac...

A very close fight but if you watch it well the rounds were not difficult to score, this was a close fight with clear rounds for each fighter going the fight for jmm...

Give it another year or two and then try your hand at scoring it again, the further removed from the fight, the more secure you will feel in outright giving the fight to Pacquiao........this whole forum is littered with such goons.

oh ****, ali baba. i suggest you find a cave and whine till nallege comes along.

seriously, i am a huge pac fan and I thought that marquez won 114-113 but to insist it was a robbery is plainly being stupid.

Ive watched it enough to know who won, Marquez, by what score is where you can argue a point here or there(114-113, 115-113, 115-112 etc).

The fact Pac leads the poll :)nut) shows just how many obsessed Pac nuthuggers are on this board

Marquez had/has his number, its unfortunate he is 5 years older than Pac or they could have had a couple more fights while JMM was still near prime, he would have put any doubt out of the equation.

Did you even see the punch stat? You must have seen a different fight. Pacquiao was clearly land the most effective punches in the first fight.
