from Dan Rafael who scored it 114-113 JMM according to divac's list

    Rafael's remark:
After the tremendous action fight they waged in their disputed 2004 draw, nobody should be at all surprised that when Pacquiao and Marquez finally met in a rematch, they produced another enthralling, bloody and dramatic fight for the ages. We'll certainly be talking about it at the end of the year when it comes time to pick the fight of the year. It could have gone either way --

The 12th round was also a big Marquez round.

The Marquez camp was almost as bad a few weeks ago when Rafael Marquez, Juan's brother, lost a tough decision in his rubber match with Israel Vazquez. There are fights in which certain scores are mind-blowing and you really have to question the competency of the judges. This was not one of them. It was merely a razor-close fight that was awesome to watch because it had many close rounds. Marquez really has only himself to blame for the defeat. If he didn't get knocked down, the fight would have been a draw and he would have kept his title. Sure, many ringside media had it for Marquez, but only by a point or two, and even those who had him winning didn't complain about the official decision. Marquez would like an immediate third fight, and it's hard to blame him. Pacquiao isn't interested in that, however, and promoter Bob Arum made their position clear: Take a break from each other, let them fight interim bouts so that a third fight will be even bigger and worth even more money. It makes sense and it is hard to argue Arum's logic. Pacquiao, if his cut heals properly, is going to move up to 135 pounds and challenge titleholder David Diaz (who won on the undercard) on June 28, also at Mandalay Bay. Don't be surprised to see that get delayed, however. After that, Marquez looms as a great fight for him in the fall, and Marquez said he was willing to go to 135 to make it happen. So enough with the sour grapes. Marquez and his handlers, especially the particularly annoying co-promoter Jaime Quintana, need to realize that Marquez's reputation has not been damaged. It has been enhanced by another sensational fight that the sold-out crowd of 11,061 loved. If you missed it on pay-per-view, too bad. But you should do yourself a favor and catch the HBO replay on Saturday night (10:05 ET/PT). Incidentally, Pacquiao etched himself in the history books with this impressive accomplishment: He became a legitimate four-division champion, having won titles at flyweight, junior featherweight, featherweight and junior lightweight. That is amazing and Hall of Fame stuff.

Even if punchstats show Marquez outlanded Pacquiao, which apparently it did (I dont give a ****, I dont believe in punchstat) you wont see me using punchstat to prove a point.

The naked eye is the best judge and not a four eyed 80 year old man who's slow on his trigger finger working for Compubox.

Puga, I've debated it so many times in this forum.

I'm sure if you were to poll who was the *******s worst nightmare in this forum, I'd win hands down.
You would think you should know how my scorecard read for those Marquez-Pacquiao fights.

    Fight one......114-111 9 rounds to 3.

    Fight two......116-111 9 rounds to 3.

Are you trying to make a case for Pacquiao with a scorecard that favored Marquez????:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

I've seen everything now. I've called for journalist who favored Pacquiao, and Puga is showing me an article that actually was scored for Marquez.

What was your point Puga.....oh oh, "but he only gave it to Marquez by one point divac, is'nt that a victory for Pacquiao and us *******s?":rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:nut

Listen *******, the Dan Rafael's of the world have agenda's. Believe me if these clowns could have scored it for Pacquiao without feeling completely and totally embarrased about it, he would have.

Dan Rafael is a clown who actually reported that John had in his view beaten Marquez without actually having watched the fight.
....he later recanted and made believe he had'nt reported it that way when he actually saw the fight and was embarrased to have actually called it for John without seeing it.

At least for this Marquez-Pacquiao fight we know he saw the fight, maybe he had an agenda maybe he did'nt, but what I do know is that clowns like him actuallly have to be very careful how they score a big fight like Marquez-Pacquiao too, because they lose peer credibility when they're outright dishonest in their scoring.

The media loves Pacquiao, which is why imo at least, you see alot of 114-113 scores out there in favor of Marquez.
They love Pacquiao, but they dont want to be ridiculous about it.

no my point is you are trying to give us a list which is not even confirmed if true and even if it is true, it was cut or made to believe that a certain site had scored it for jmm. also you are trying to make it a point that jmm clearly won when most of those in the list had only jmm winning 7 rounds.

dam, this Divac guy is something else..

he says the fight was CLEARLY won by Marquez when Theres only 1~2 point Difference on Most of the Scorecards

like every other sane person here who understands the fight was indeed a CLOSE FIGHT that could have GONE EITHER WAY.. it went to the fighter hes known to HATE and calls them Judges CORRUPT.. its a ****ing SPLIT DECISION man -.-

and pls don't POST those Reporters/Commentators Scorecards for MARQUEZ.. you keep saying your Backing what you say with FACTS when you know as bias as you are, they're just OPINIONS

Right after the fight had been completed, there were several articles that depicted that most of the consensus had Marquez winning 8 rounds.
I'm not fabricating this, this is fact.
When a fighter wins 8 rounds, that a clear victory.

There were quite a bit here in this forum who had it 7-5 and many of those said that Marquez 7 rounds were won more clearer than Pacquiao's 5.
So even if you had a 115-114 score for Marquez, that 1 point victory by many who scored it that way have said it was a clear 1 point victory because Marquez rounds in the bank had been much clearer than the rounds they gave Pac.......

I have a friend at work who's a big Pacquiao fan, and he told me he scored it 114-112 a 7-4-1 score, and that really he was giving every possible round he could to Pacquiao.

Yes, a few had it closer, but very few actually had the audacity to score for Pacquiao even though by Media standards, they had predicted and would have preferred Pacquiao win that fight because he was the more popular fighter and indeed he was a knockout artist.
The media do tend to favor them......

.....but in this case, very few would embarrass themselves by scoring for Pacquiao.

I would say 70 of journalist scored for Marquez 15% for Pacquiao, and the other 15% scored it a draw.

Those numbers are telling of a clear victory for Marquez.

You can say the fight was competitve, yes, but close? No.

I'm sorry , but a fight where a great valid majority say Marquez won is not a fight that can go either way.

Thats bogus......more than 2 out of 3 journalist score for Marquez, the other half of the other 1/3 can only see Pacquiao with a draw, and yet 2 out of 3 official judges score for Pacquiao?

That my friends is the definition of a robbery if there ever was one!
