Ricardo Lopez, Larry Holmes, and Paul Spadafora all came very close, only to get a loss or a draw right before that benchmark. Never heard of Willie Pep (62-0) or Julio Cesar Chavez Snr (87-0) before have you? Marciano is the HW record, and the one for a boxer retiring undefeated with all being wins, where others with huge winning streaks eventually lost or drawn.
