Barrera has a fantastic career defining victory against a great opponent in the Prince. These two will always be connected. When someone brings up Prince Naseem, you automatically think of Barrera, and that great victory Barrera had.
Why is he the best? cause PAC punked him the whole time, what makes him the best in your eyes you keep repeating the same **** over and over give me your view so I may leave you alone and understand. Marquez Morales Barrera End/
My alltime #2. Had the pleasure of going to a dinner in his honour the other week but there's an ESB member who got to spar with him.:yikes I know there will always be people who try to pick holes in Barrera's legacy.I'm not saying he's the best but he was my favourite fighter for most of this century and he gave those of us who are fans some wonderful memories. You'll always get haters but he's still one of the best of his era.
I love the way Barrera rejuvinated his career and reinvented himself after his losses. he went from a brawler to a very intelligent boxer with an excellent and underrated jab. And the left upperhook he possessed was unreal, especially to the body.
The fluidity of his combinations and the way he mixed the left hook to the head and body was astonishing. A beautiful style, I hold him in the same regard I do Morales.
