That fight was never supposed to happen.
Margarito's eye is damaged and he will never be an elite fighter with one eye.
The NY people should never have sanctioned that fight because everyone can see Margarito's eye is not right.
I just wonder how much Arum greased people's palms just to get the fight done?
Cotto fighting a one eyed man and still getting marked all over was tasteless.
That fight basically was there to line Bob Arum's pockets nothing more.

    Anyone else feel the same

I agree. But I still wanted to see Margarito get his ass kicked.

I would liked it more if Greedy Pig Arum put Margarito against fresh opponents like Martirosyan or Chavez Jr. They probably would have destroyed that eye even worse than Cotto did.

They probably still can if Margarito ever gets a license again that is.

boxing is far too political these days. for good reason, health, and all that. but ****- these two guys hated each other, and wanted to fight- and had a right to make a living from it- so let them fight.

not every fight is going to be a title fight , with guys primed and in perfect condition, if it were- half the great fights in boxing would have no place having occured and boxers would be forced to retire after their prime. perhaps this is for the best, but these arent normal people, not normal athletes, their warriors. perhaps this is the bloodlust in me speaking, and i agree- that seeing tony take that type of beating was pointles, yet satisfying. what im getting at though, is this is boxing, there is little room for points ultimately. its war. there is no point.

Hey Picachu, I agree that that ******* Margo should not have been allowed to have another payday ever!

To see Margo's eye busted up like that was almost worth the fact that it lined Arums pocket.

Are you really trying to say Margo should have been able to use his regular gloves to even the playing field?
