wasn't floyd with arum when margarito asked him to fight? margarito has fought williams, cotto has fought mosley, pac has fought hatton, which are not in-house fights. when was the alst time when floyd has not fought in-house? is that a valid excuse for not fighting cotto and pacquiao?

Floyd wanted 10 million to fight Cotto or Margo, Bob Arum said no becuase Floyd "wasnt a big enough draw"

He signed with GBP and has had blockbuster fights with DLH Hatton, JMM and Mosley (aka Margo's daddy).

Arum has not put Pac in with anyone else's fighters in 2 years, and he wont be doing so anytime soon. Arum never offered Floyd a Cotto fight and wanted to protect Cotto because he thought he had bigger chances for being a major draw with the PR market. (Just like he did by keeping Gamboa from Juanma).

He offered him Margarito, but did not want to give him 10 million. Margarito himself was not even a draw at that point, and after all that calling out of Floyd, goes on and loses his next fight against Williams.

Arum will never make a fight with Floyd for anyone of his top fighters, and he didnt want to at the time he promoted him (one of the reasons Floyd left).

Notice how all the fighters that Floyd is supposed to be "ducking" are all Arum fighters? You think this is a coincidence?:rofl

Margo that fought Pacquiao probably would've beaten that shot Mosley Pacquiao faced. Margo brought his A-game against Pac. If you couldn't see that, you're a ****ing moron.

when floyd had just beat hatton and cotto had just beat mosley, it was the biggest figth in boxing back n 2008. elerbe just brushed it off by saying that cotto is not big enough of a draw.

and notice that all the fighter floyd should have fought was at welter. he never fought any of these guys when welter was waxing hot. cotto, margo, williams and currently pac. he fought mosley but was forced to do so with mosley coming from a long lay-off.

ok so floyd only fight in-house fights since baldomir and about 5 years already. so does this excuse floyd from not fighting cotto and pacquiao, both was the biggest threat in his weight class back in 2008 and currently?

When have you ever heard Cotto call out Mayweather? Floyd himself tried to make that fight with Arum back after Floyd beat Gatti and they both had belts at 140, but Arum said no!

Floyd retired right before Cotto lost to Margo, and whatever we fans say or how pissed we get, fighters have a right to take time off. Floyd had already left Top Rank, and Arum never tried to make that fight at anytime before that (he never he claimed he tried) and sure as hell wasnt going to after Floyd left (or after Cotto nearly got killed against Margo).

And in 2008 Pac was a lightweight. He only went to 147 for the money against DLH. The idea of him even fighting that high was a joke up to that point.

Floyd came back in 2009 against JMM, and then tried to make the Pac fight, but well, we all know the story there.

And a little history lesson: Baldomir was not with GBP when they fought, and neither was Floyd. Floyd was promoted by Dan Goessen for that fight, and Baldomir by an indie promoter. So that was NOT an in house fight!

As for Margo, he has lost several times since and been exposed as a cheater. That fight meant very little until Margo beat Cotto, and then he was promptly destroyed by Mosley (another reason why Top Rank is hesitant to fight any GBP fighters).

And there is no one with any sort of real boxing knowledge who thinks Margo would win a single round against Floyd.

Arum hates Floyd for leaving him and becoming a mega star, proving Arum wrong that Floyd could get but so big (which he always stated).

He also hates FLoyd for suing him for stealing Floyd's PPV money from the Gatti and Judah fights (a suit Arum lost). :deal

why would you want a green cotto fight floyd back then? at least they are honest then when they said that cotto was not yet ready for floyd. but when cotto had just beaten mosley and floyd had just beaten hatton, it was the biggest fight at welter and the whole of boxing back in 2008. ellerbe just brushed this off by saying cotto was not a draw. meanwhile floyd retired and fight big show instead.

so again i ask you, was floyd fighting in-house fights since baldomir excuses him for not fighting cotto in 2008 and pacquiao curently?

Arum never made an offer for that fight, nor did Cotto ever call him out. Cotto fought Alfonso Gomez instead. :deal

What was better about it? The fact that he didn't get brutally Ko'ed in 9 rds?

He should have been stopped in this fight, but everyone but Pac wanted to see Margo get beaten into goo.

it was a good excuse, but margarito challenged floyd and made an offer for floyd to fight pacquiao but he still ddin't fought them.

it was the biggest fight in boxing then and ellerbe just brushed off a potential fight with cotto by saying he is not a draw. so basically, it shoots down a potential big fight between them.

margo was basically not into the fight against mosley. his mind was actually not focused because he just got caught trying to load his gloves. he might be thinking of the sanctions instead of fighitng during the actual match.

against pac, he was determined, focused and is trying to redeem himself from the plaster incident and came fighting. yes he was outclassed by pacquiao but he did not go down without a fight. he actually gave pacquiao his worst damage after the fight. much better than his showing against mosley.

Arum could have pushed for that fight, but he simply wasnt interested, plain and simple.

If Cotto lost to anyone, it would be a Top Rank opponent, Bob Arum would make sure of that.

And who has Cotto lost to? Margo and Pac....2 Top Rank fighters!!

And no way in hell does Arum put Cotto in with Floyd, after Cotto won but struggled with Mosley.

You mean to tell me Cotto could find no better challenge than Alfonso Gomez (whom he fought 4 months after Floyd beat Hatton and who is ANOTHER Top Rank fighter) at 147 if he was looking for that big of a challenge?

If Arum really wanted to make that fight, he would have made an offer. :deal
