The Margo that fought Pac would have KO'ed any other fighter from 147 to 160!!

He lost every rounds, and the corner should have stopped it. He was fighting a smaller man than Mosley, who at the time had more one punch power (not the case now). He STILL could not handle his power, and was nearly blinded as a result.

He was a walking heavy bag in that fight. He had a 17lb weight advantage and still got beat the hell down.

If I saw my fighter peform like that, I would be horrified. The man has no defense, footwork, or handspeed, and his power has not been all that decent since he stopped cheating.

He hasnt even come close to a KO since the Cotto fight 3 years ago. Pac beat on a ****ing dead man!!:deal

well it was the biggest fight around and the moment it was suggested after cotto beat mosley, ellerbe and floyd's team was quick to say that cotto is not a draw hence not a possible opponent. arum could only offer a fight to those who are interested. floyd has shown no interest on talking this fight. remember that arum and oscar has no problem making the cotto-mosley fight. the thing is, when welter was waxing hot back from 2007-2009, floyd was missing in action.

since when has maragrito won because of his defense nor his handspeed? he broke opponents down with his pressure, workrate and will.

for those who watched his fights against mosley and pac, it was evident that he showed tons of heart and the will to fight in his pac fight. he was more motivated where in the mosley fight, he looked lost. anyone can see this and we can make a poll if you disagree.

So Arum could not MAKE them interested with an an offer? I'm sure 12-15 million dollars would have changed things. And please, no fight with Gomez is a "big" fight, that is total BS.

He could have fought Collazo, Cintron, Pwill, Clottey, a Mosley rematch, but no he fought Gomez!!

Were the people asking for this fight? Was Gomez a top welter? NO!!

Arum did not make an offer and refused when Floyd listed his financial demands in 2005-2006.

Arum has admitted all of this, which is why it's funny you are arguing that Floyd "ducked" Cotto.

so is he motivated against mosley? he was actually motivated aginst pacquiao and showed in his fight. he actually did some serious damage to pac whereas he just let mosley hit him and his mind was like thinking of something else that night. so if you disgaree make a poll to see in which fight margo was more impresssive.

who says gomez is the big fight? it was margarito after. and why do you still want floyd to fight a green cotto at 140? the best time was at 147 when both are coming from a very good win back in 2008. so what can you say about ellerbe saying that cotto was not a draw so floyd won't fight him?

and about cotto not mentioning floyd, when has cotto called an opponent? we all know that he would fight any top welters like mosley, margo, clottey and pac. who are the top welter floyd has fought?

He fought Mosley after everyone said he never would and after Mosley decimated Margo (whom everyone said he was scared to fight). He also has beaten the last 2 lineal champs at that weight, was the lineal champ himself, and faced DLH at 154.

And you are right, Cotto was another Bob Arum puppet who never said anything but "let my promoter tell me who to fight." And did Arum tell him to fight Mayweather? No, he fought Gomez and then Margo.

And about what Ellerbe said, Floyd had just fought DLH and Hatton, 2 bigger draws than Cotto at the time. People say things in the press about a fight all the time, that doesnt mean a fight can't get made. The truth is, Arum never pursued the fight. You mean to tell me an Ellerbe statement would deter Arum for trying to make a fight that would have been big and that HBO would have killed to make because he read about what Ellerbe said?

    Are you serious???

Ellerbe doesnt even negotiate fights for Floyd, that would have been Al Haymon and GBP, which Arum knows full well. But Arum refuses to deal with Al Haymon, as he hates the man with a passion.

Roger Mayweather said that they would welcome the Cotto fight back then, as Roger said it would be easy work.

So again, where was the offer from Arum?

You need to watch him instead of making conclusions based on circumstances.

It is kinda like saying the Holyfield that fought Tyson must be a **** shot version simply because Holyfield was beaten up by Bowe and Moorer.

  12. Yeah, it take a lot of agility to get hit in the face 1,000 times.

Margo never has and never will be that good! Its really that simple...he fought at WW for years and just bullied his way to wins....his chin is good because he is fighting naturaly smaller fighters...he fights aat 154 he gets sparked more than he has at WW.

Skill wise he is gobbage....outside of being able to take punishment and last till the other fighter slows down and he can unload wide bombs.....he doesnt offer much else.
