Aldo did not look at his best after that first round, but still props to Hominick he showed incredible heart but apart from that last round and a few moments where he outboxed Aldo, he got dominated pretty handily.
At the time of Aldo's win over Brown you would have to say Brown was as good as it got at 145. You talk about this new breed well Brown was a State Champion wrestler with those pretty devestating KO power and had rocked up many quality wins Curran, Faber 2x, Garcia, Yves Edwards and MARK HOMINICK. Thats more then just 15 minutes. Same with Urijah hes an excellent wrestler and if his striking is **** tell that to Jens, Wineland, Assuncao and all the guys he has lit up with his striking. Who has really figured him out besides Aldo ? He closed his eyes and ran into a Brown right hand and busted up his hands in the rematch. I see where you are going to an extent but to say Mike Brown and Urijah Faber werent real competition is pretty damn dumb.
He was gassed much earlier than that and he still knocked Homminick down x 2 and busted him up. To suggest that the performance from Aldo we saw somehow proves he is worse than Silva is nutty, and utterly disregards Silva vs Sonnen.
Count me in! I was supporting aldo at the start of the fight and cheering hominick at the end! True warrior big respect
even thought aldo dominated him, it was the best ass whoopin ive ever watched, hominick is a beast.i thought he would finish hominick in 1 or 2 but i have respect for hom inick
Hominic won the whole event, cats jab is smooth as ice, and banging out push ups after that ****....I wanna see a pic of his face in 3 days
