I don't think he would, it wouldn't make much sense, but you alluded that he could make 140 and thus 144, so I questioned that possibility and the motives for not doing so intentionally.

(Sorry for the language, doing law school homework.)

if the fight is at 144, like the Pac fight was, and Marquez comes in the same form he was against Pac. Then I see an 8-4 type decision for PBF at best.

he def had no intentions of making 144. When Leonard was asked throughout that training camp what the weight for the fight was ellerbe always said its a welterweight fight. It is not about him not being able to make it more of him doing whatever the hell he wants its Floyd being Floyd

i don't think it'll make for a good fight cause Marquez is a counter puncher and Mayweather is not the boxer to press although I believe he can but is just so smart that he won't go to Marquez strong point which is letting him counter

    Why not?

Mayweather did the same thing to a much more active Hatton and to supposedly stronger fighters in Mosley and, at times, Cotto. Other than the 2nd half of the Castillo fight, PBF has always shown that type of strength.

apologies if it's already mentioned....it's a style thing.

    JMM shines against pressure fighters.

Whatever the deal is, the guy who drinks his own urine will NEVER beat Floyd. But since you're asking about the one who fought poochiao vs Floyd, then instead of it being 12-0 Floyd, it would be 11-1 or possibly 10-2 Floyd only because that Marquez stopped drinking his own urine and started roiding up with his known cheat trainer who changed his ****ing name to try and hide :patsch

Why would you say Mayweather is a better boxer without taking into account he is younger, quicker, faster, stronger, and has a monumental height and reach advantage to boot???????

Now is that being a better boxer or is it that Mayweather beats Marquez because physicallly he has all the advantages.

Who wins at Middleweight, the current welterweight Mayweather or a prime Roy Jones who's not nearly as skilled boxistically as Mayweather?

I would say that a prime Roy Jones at middleweight has all the physical advantages and wins despite Mayweather being better skilled.

My point is that boxing skill is part of the factor that leads to winnning, but its certainly not the only factor.
Height, reach, and phyical advantages play a huge role!

    NEXT ISSUE!

That's my point. Both fights were well above JMM's prime weight.
