Mayweather does the same thing to Marquez at 130, too. Note: It is understood that PBF never fought at 126.
at 130(both at their best weights), marquez would have won some rounds compared to their fight, marquez didn't win any round as I recall. There are surely physical disadvantages in that fight but regardless floyd would win
It's fair to assume Floyd would win given the style, but that fight would not look the same at all. A lighter, more offensive, less defensively refined Floyd against a quicker, younger, sharper Marquez.
Amir Khan has all those same advantages over dayum near anyone he gets into the ring with. Yet he continues to get dropped and next to no one on this board would bet on him beating JMM. Sorry, but part of judging boxing ability is how said boxer applies his tools. Mayweather's tools are better than Marquez's, AND how he applies them is better. There's a reason Mayweather doesn't get dropped by the Michael Katisidis' of the world.
there is absolutely nothing JMM could do to beat floyd.... maybe he would win 1 or 2 rounds as opposed to none
Floyd at 130 would still be able to muscle Marquez. Mayweather would still be able to hold down Marquez's head and shove out of clinches. He's always been able to do those things. That wasn't a function of the fight being at 147.
And the guy who put him on his ass is now 0-2-1 against him. Or he is 2-0-1 against him and 0-1 against lmfao...Tim Bradley...:rofl:rofl:roflEither way it isn't good for him. He has lost one of his last 2 while Floyd has won his last 43.
He hasn't always been able to do those things as skillfully, nor has he always had such a size and weight advantage in doing so. His dimensions were smaller and his inside game was weaker at 130.
This is ****ing ******ed, Floyd is clearly and absolutely the better fighter, he didn't beat JMM because of weight. I mean if by "closer" you mean 11-1 or 10-2 as opposed to 12-0, then yeah maybe he would do better. That said Floyd outclassed JMM by a wide wide margin.
