The Mecca of boxing just became the Mecca of cheating

    This is just ****ing terrible. First Kotelnik schools Alexander for a shocking robbery and now Mosley got a ridiculous gift draw vs. a Sergio Mora who outpunched, outboxed and outslugged Shane for the vast majority of the fight.

    Is this still the country everybody in the world wants to define his career in? Shitty ratings, empty arenas, boxing in the "other sports: MMA" section and just awfully sad robberies. Absolutely terrible. You don't wanna be the fighter in the red corner, because you got no chance as Sergio Mora had to learn the hard way.

    Shame on the judges.

    You also forget the Pirog vs Jacobs...
    That was on the way to being another robbery before Pirog blasted that wannabe hype job.......

    The Germany is no more the robbery central its USA with GBP!
    No wonder the boxing in USA is on the decline, who wants to see this ****?

    I thought "the mecca of boxing" referred to MSG. Anyway, these were not the first questionable scorecards in America, and they were not the worst. Scoring has always been a problem in boxing. I have always thought bad scorecards had more to do with who was promoting the card than the location. By the way, I had Devon losing a close fight and mosley winning a close fight.

    I don't know how biased the HBO commentary was (it had to be, they all love Mosley, Larry said so), but I read Compubox had a ridiculous 181 to 93 connect advantage for Shane which is a Goddamn LIE. Mora clearly outlanded Mosley and did the clean effective punching, I don't even think Mosley landed 80.5 blows. Seriously now, boxing should either stop digging it's own grave or should finish the job by covering itself for good, because it's putting the once great sport to shame.

    I have yet to see the fight but it seems each person scored it differently, hard to say it is a robbery then right?

    Hmm. I might watch this fight now because even though it sounds like a stinker because I've seen lots of people who thought Mosley won clearly, some who thought Mora won clearly and some who thought it was a draw.

    Good article.

    I had Mora 117-112.

    Mosely justm leant on Mora and missed 90% on his punches completely.

    Mora caught him clean and effective, but legal on the inside. If Mora had more power Mosely woulda got ****ed up on the inside.

    Boxing has always been corrupted. Fights like Mora-Mosley are ok with me if they are scored draws I have no problem with that. Judging is opinion-based anyways so there's no right way to score fights.
