Not sure if this has been done before so here goes! It amazes me how the American Media has always down graded its great black fighters. From Ali, SRR, Jones, Whitaker, Floyd and plenty more to come. Is it just me or what! Lets hear it!

The American media granted Muhammad Ali as the Athlete of the Century. That's not enough?

All the fighters you mentioned had bad attitudes and came across unlikable and cocky which has more to with it.

Floyd Patterson, Sugar Ray Leonard, George Foreman, Frank Bruno and Eubank (in UK) were all massively loved.

This is me just thinking of the top of my head. I' sure there are hundreds.

Yep. I actually disagree that people all around disliked SRR too, he was definitely loved by a great many.

Joe Louis is another black fighter that was nigh-universally liked as well.

In the 60's. Throughout the 70's he was the medias darling and probably the most internationally loved fighter there ever was.

International media but not by the American media big difference there. Hell he was hated by people in his own country except by blacks who loved him.

if you check out most greatest boxer lists youll find that black boxers dominate, yeah they had a tough ride in the early days of the 20th century but there certainly not hated. SRR, SRL, Ali, Frazier, Foreman etc etc etc are all highly rated and quite liked by the boxing community

At one point Ali was the highest paid sportman in the world. Ali also wasnt imprisoned when he didnt enlist , unlike many other black and white men of his age. So he couldnt have been hated that much. Ali was also on the cover of more magazines in the 70's than any other athlete. He may have been disliked by a certain category , but never hated and always respected for his own views.
