**** it, Floyd got criticized for fighting Mosley while Pac didn't. He got criticized for fighting Pacquiao. EVERY fighter he faces is made to look bad ONLY when he fights them.

People forget Berto was #3 WW behind only Floyd and Pac at one point. And #4 WW behind Floyd, Pac, and Mosley before then. And still he was ranked by almost everyone at #4 on January 1st, 2012, with his then most recent outing having been stopping Zaveck on cuts.

That was several years ago now. His current form seems pretty damn awful compared to what he once was, which very well may have been fortunate matchmaking but it is what it is...

We all ranked him #3 WW in April of 2011 and he was the logical best opponent for Floyd or Pac at WW at that time, beyond each other. That "title" then passed on to Ortiz.

I'll give Floyd the same hard time I gave Wladimir for the Pianeta/Wach/Leapai fights. Because while Berto even now is a much better opponent than those three, Floyd also is the P4P #1 and top man of his whole era and I'm a big fan so yes, I hold him to slightly higher standards at times, I suppose.

I always want him to fight the best fighters out there. This fight doesn't do anything to boost his legacy in particular like almost every fight in the last decade has done for him.

If he faces Berto, it will be Floyds' worst opponent since Sharmba in 2005.
