They are the defendants of a defamation suit before the mediation, and rightfully so.

Whether you or anybody else "can imagine" them apologizing or not is irrelevant. The point is they made those unfounded statements against someone who has never been in any situation that would warrant such statements, except his performance. The apology portion is warranted, dela Hoya and Schaefer were part of the mediation.
