In the spirit of the OP's guidelines, I'm officially throwing Roy Jones' name into the hat.

Even Ali would have been able to drop or even ko Moorer.

Guys from the old days, who i think would have a much better chance (obviously i tip Ali) would be:
Bob Fitzsimmons - would be grossly underated by Ali, Ali would clown around and try to carry him for most of the fight to make good on one of his pre fight predictions. Ali was open to a left hand, and the Fitzsimmons shift left hand was arguably the best left hand ever. If he caught him like Cooper caught him, Ali may not have got up.

Tom Sharkey - A wild and rugged pressure fighter. A high workrate who never stops. He dealt with Corbett reasonably well, and Corbett is the closest to ali in style from his time. It is doubtful that Ali's power would KO Sharkey, and his swarming punches might force Ali into the rope a dope position and cause Ali some big difficulties.

Joe Choynski - Definitely not as good as Ali, but like Fitzsimmons and Cooper may just take advantage of the overconfidence and may have enough in his power to finish the job.

LOL,The long count,Tunney said he could have gotten up anytime and Dempsey believed him. Who did a prime Dempsey slaughter anyway? Gibbons no,Brennan no,Carpitnier had been in a war and during that war his parents were in german prison camps, Miske was known for his...? Pleassssssseeeeeeee spare the rubbish. Jack struggled to hit Tunney and hurt him because Tunney like Gibson was a smart elusive fighter times that by 10 and you have Ali.
Jack is lucky Les D'Arcy had a bullsh1t scandal and then sadly died(only the good die young!)because that boy would have stopped him.
