such a massive loss to wlad as a fighter - im in shock and im just a fan not someone who was able to work with and spend time with ES. I think it cud spur Wlad on but Manny was crucial to how wlad fights and has evolved over time. I still think he will win fairly easily I could see a minutes silence/10 rings of the bell before the fight - who will the MC be? Buffer? RIP Emmanuel
No way he pulls out of the fight. He fought just days after his dad died from a lengthy battle with cancer. If he got thru that without problems, he can do it here also. Wlad is a professional, he'll take care of business.
I just hope RTL takes this theme serious and don't blow it extremely up, especialy by the ringwalk with videos or something else. But we al know rtl ..
Wach is going to take advantage of this situation. Wlad won't know what to do when he's completely demolished by a live and dangerous opponent. And with no Manny in the corner to turn to for advice, well he's going to panic big time!
Wlad will honour Emanuel Steward with a great KO win. Now the boxing world realizes what Emanuel Steward has done for Wlad and how deep the friendship between both was. Very very sad.
Maybe have the ten bell count at the start of the show rather than the start of the fight. Wlad fighting with too much emotion won't suit his style. I'll be rooting for him too for the first time.
I think Wlad will use it as a motivational tool just as Buster Douglas did as a 42-1 underdog in Japan against Tyson just after his mother died. Douglas never fought that good and determined before that fight and didn't do so afterwards. That night was his for the taking, and he did. I could be wrong here, but I'm thinking Manny's illness before his death yesterday probably kept him from training Wlad much in the past several weeks. For those on the inside, they may have seen this unfortunate event coming for some time and were prepared for the inevitable.
