Martinez if the man, who should he fight next? Julio Chavez- I don't care to see it again, Chavez should have to get back in line. Peter Quillin- Looked good vs. Echols, Hill, Zuniga, Brinkley, Wright, and N'Jikam. Daniel Geale- Looked good vs. Sturm, Karmazin, and Mundine (LSD12). Jermain Taylor- I would like to see him beat a good MW convincingly before facing Martinez. Gennady Golovkin- I'm not sold on this guy yet, too many unknowns on his resume. Felix Sturm- His best days are behind him. Dmitry Pirog- Hasn't beat anybody. It doesn't look to good. Most shoot down the thought of him fighting Andre Ward but if they could fight at 164 Lbs... I don't see a problem with it. Doubt it will ever happen though. I don't blame either fighter. SMW has plenty of good fighters. SHould he move up or fight a few of them at a catchweight of 164 Lbs? How about fighting a top JMW at 157 Lbs? Who could he fight between 157-164? Mayweather- It would be a great fight, a meaningful fight. Alvarez- Another meaningful fight. Cotto- It would very entertaining and sell very well. Froch- #2 at SMW and beating him would be impressive. Kessler- A win over him still means something. Bute- Some thought he was #2 for a long time, he's still decent. Dirrell (both) and Abraham- Beating either one would look goood. Pavlik- The former MW lineal Champ vs. the current MW lineal Champ, why not? Thoughts?
their are allot of good fighters still left macklin, jacobs, N'jikam, proska, david lemieux, lee, barker, i'm not saying sergio should fight them but their are plenty of good matches for other fighters besides martinez.
