IMO HBO should create tournament in welterweight with Pacquiao, Mayweather, Cotto, Clottey, Williams and Mosley:good

I totally agree, I only mentioned that some Golota's achievements are bigger than Adamek's. Btw, in my personal list Adamek is on the first place :good I like his skills, but first of all I like his attitude to the boxing - he always fights to the end and he fights versus really tough fighters. It makes his fights so exciting to watch.

You don't know this. Adamek may be in a position to earn real dollars real soon. In a best case scenerio, suppose he fights Haye, and both Klits and then goes a division lower to fight Hopkins?

perhaps a space for boytsov? all of a sudden ring mag are rating him as a good fighter, HBO were mentioning him as one of the top heavyweight during one of the recent vitali defenses, and boytsov is exciting because he is compact, aggressive and a short puncher.

i figured this year adamek would fight estrada, boytsov then a heavyweight title...i wasn't far off, and arreola is a better choice, because he is known in the US market.

i wonder if HBO would wait until the K2s are retired, for a heavyweight tournament. haye, povetkin, adamek, chambers, boytsov - it'd be good. only problem, boytsov is with universum (i think), but universum do seem to be in trouble so perhaps they'd want the american money.

showtime doing super 6 and HBO doing something similar for an exciting new batch of heavyweights - boxing could really be doing well, and won't need the inflated egos and greed of pac and mayweather to hold up the sport.

haye said he'd only fight adamek if adamek brought the interest of UK or US TV. i think arreola is a great gamble, because if it pays off, adamek has got a good payday and the best exposure. surely he can beat an overweight, badly conditioned (if strong) american heavyweight.

imagine if tomasz boxes a disciplined fight, and arreola starts getting tired in the late rounds. reckon adamek beats him, though the size difference means anything could happen.

I've never said that it's bad idea. Heavyweight needs something like that.
Pacquiao only fought Oscar and Cotto at 145 so how could he dominated welterweight. It would be interesting to see Floyd and Pacman with some real, big welterweights like Mosley, Clottey and Williams(if he still can make 147). Don't you think?:D

i agree, at welterweight they are all names (mosley), or stars (mayweather) who can sell lots of PPVs, or have lucrative TV contracts (berto).

light welter is a division in which the fighters would risk their titles and their rankings. i doubt khan would, due to chin problems and cautious promoter. but bradley, alexander, maidana, and the like would be up for it.

hopefully adamek can use the weight of his opponent against him. golota, strada and arreola - strangely! - are all about the same weight. it's excusable perhaps for golota, as he was old. it is strange for estrada, as he is a slick counter puncher who needs speed. and it is strange for arreola, as he needs fitness to keep putting on pressure - if the opponent doesn't fold early.

as such, i think it's good that adamek fought such a heavy fighter in his heavyweight debut, in golota.

I agree with you that it's probably impossible to make that tournament but still it would be great for boxing...
But junior welterweight is also hot division and it could be done there.

Bloodworth knows who's the head coach. It's been dealt wisely and everybody there knows what he's responsible of, also they will do their best to help Tomasz. 2 smart and experience men, who follow modern boxing standarts, I don't see it crapping out. Must be good !

If Adamek can take bombs from arreola and not go down, hes a big threat to anyone in the division :think
