great win. impressed that he beat this guy only a couple of months after winning a tough 12 rounder.

golota, estrada, arreola: adamek has done it the right way, built up to his success.

now he's probably an HBO fighter. good paydays, dangerous fights. one drawback is, he won't be fighting so regularly anymore.

    Adamek boxed brilliantly.

I'm actually surprised he won, but he fought a very smart fight and exhibited state of the art heart once again.

There were some shaky moments, and a lot of close rounds, but Adamek impressed tonight.

    I had it 117-111.

Mind you, Adamek IS NOT a true heavyweight, and even still, he outclassed a guy who is consensus top five.

Adamek will get crushed by either Klitschko and may lost to a few other guys, but I like his chances against most in the heavyweight division.

    What a performance!!

    I, too, am bombed!

    :cheers

Honestly JETS, I really thought Arreola would beat Adamek, but Tomasz has so much heart and desire. He is a super accurate puncher, but it was CLEAR he is not a real heavyweight.

    Even still, he won!

As the fight drew closer, I started thinking Adamek would have more and more of a chance but I'm still surprised he did it.

After rounds 4, 5, and 6 I started getting a bad feeling, and then Adamek just fought super smart.

AWESOME JOB BY BLOODWORTH AND SHIELDS!!

    :happy:happy:happy

Incidentally, was I the only one who had Golota flashbacks first time Adamek was warned for low blows?

    :rofl

No  Adamek loves to go to the body and some punches must go around the opponents belt.

Good win for Adamek. I thought choosing Arreola is dangerous decision, and still think it was, but Adamek executed his gameplan perfectly, with Arreola coming as fat as usual.

Now when Adamek gets a titleshot no one can complain he does not deserve it.

When I heard 114:114 I almost jumped from my seat as I thought I will witness another robbery in boxing in a couple of seconds. Fortunately, other judges scored it right, even if one was still quite generous for Arreola.

lol the one time Chris acted hurt and the ref warned him i thought Chris was acting, so did Kellerman. Adamek was hurting him with those and he was looking for any excuse to help reduce those body shots.

awesome job by Tomasz. Needs to invest in some better shoes though and try to avoid fighting an entire round without a mouthguard lol
