what improvements can tomasz make between the grant and whitaker fights? i'm sure he will be working and planning hard for a proper, dominant performance...

I think his movement (not to get punched) still can be better although already it's pretty good I think.

    I haven't heard about it.

i'm keen to see how he responds on the inside, what precautions he will take against getting tied up and leaned on.

is it true - adamek v maddalone in december, in new jersey?

perhaps he needs the break, a showcase fight that will allow him to look dominant and gain a stoppage.

someone did mention that 3 12 rounders this year is quite a punishing schedule...

but would mormeck not have been better? at least he is a name, a former champ, and beat maddalone...

That was actually supposed to be Grant. I think Adamek would be better served if a) he fought Vitali next or b) he took on a top contender. I would love to see him against Povetkin or try to convince Haye to tangle. Solis has also expressed a lot of interest. Dimintrenko would also be a significant match up. Beating any of them in whatever fashion would give Adamek a lot of props, would erase doubts about his last performance and build much needed steam for a Klitschko showdown. Taking on extremely faded fighters like Whitaker or Madalone and having less then perfect performances against them, will quickly make Adamek the laughing stock of the HW division.

its most likely maddalone, just seen an interview with adamek on polsat news confirming it by himself.

I dont know.... i mean i know its a confidence builder, but this guy is sooo weak.. Hard to explain a top contender fighting 2 easy fights in a row. Ofcors grant fight turned out not to be that easy, but still fukin maddalone? Ppl wont like it.

Good post, agreed all the way.
Tomek loses his shine fighting those guys..

I agree with you. Such fight wouldnt have any meaning for Adamek at HW, but it will be a stay busy. It shows that Adamek is aiming in the fight with Klitschko (or Haye). He will probably take an easier fight not to take unnecessary risk. The same was in the CW, when after 2 very hard fights he fought Gunn, to move up to the HW in his next fight :good The analogy is visible.

Its obvious that he wants to take an easy fight not to risk too much and be in shape. This is a very good strategy, but some morons on this forum would blame Adamek for that. Adamek and Bloodworth are very consistent in theirs decisions and this is good. They dont make a rush, just fight very regular against different opponents. In last 10 months Adamek fought against 4 HW, who's average weight was above 250 pounds and average height was about 6'4''. Adamek has boxed in the last 10 months for 41 rounds. While for example David Haye has boxed 99 rounds for his entire career.

I am a boxing fan and I support Adamek, so I want him to fight the best possible opposition and to be on the top. However I realize that if you are a true fan, you have to sacrifice sometimes and trust the fighter you support.
I dont believe that Adamek may duck Klitschkos as Haye or Povetkin. If he gets a good offer, he takes the fight, if not he becomes a mandatory challenger (eliminator bout) to Wlad (WBO) or Vitali (WBC).

Gotta say I would be much happier him fighting Whitaker.

Not a good choice of opponent.

Even if Adamek KOs this guy, nobody will be impressed. But if he is going for a Klitschko fight after, then nobody can hold this against him.

the thing is adamek has a guaranteeed fan base, who turn up to watch him in newark. he's not taking anyone's TV date that a better fight would have. it looks like a low budget affair to me. maddalone will try hard, as gunn did, but adamek should be able to show off all his offensive skills.

adamek peaked this year, early in the year, with the arreola fight. if adamek fought maddalone in feb, and arreola in dec, then ppl would be happier. but he took the HBO date when it was there. no other fight that he could have this year would advance him more than the arreola fight. ppl were bound to be disappointed because in some ways arreola was the biggest fight of his career (a heavyweight fight on HBO is technically bigger than any cruiserweight title fight).

it would be nuts to fight arreola, solis, dimitrenko, and then tua, surely (top 10 guys or dangerous fringe contenders, for example). because the following 3 fights risk losing what adamek has gained in the first one (arreola). but you get the feeling that the only way ppl would be happy is if he fights all those contenders. then the rpoblem is all the wear and tear that comes with it...his priority is to get to a title fight, and to be in the best position of winning it. 2010 was a very successful year, and now it is necessary to put the breaks on a little.

That is true. Especially when you think that he moved up not even a year ago.

No point in risking a loss before a title shot, at least it might get his confidence up, hopefully. Not that its low...
