Lennox Lewis was far more comfortable & experienced at fighting fellow Superheavys. Why do you think he was happy to take on Superheavy punchers like Ruddock, Tucker, Bruno, McCall, Akinwande, Golota, Briggs, Grant, Rahman & Vitali, but didn't want to fight Byrd & Ruiz? The best 2 "small" heavys he fought were a 5'9 Tua at 245lbs & a 5'10 Shot Tyson at 234lbs, both were badly overweight (in boxing terms) slow lethargic plodders when Lennox met them. Maybe you count 6'1 Mercer as a small heavy, but he was 238lbs & gave Lewis an even war which i scored 5-4-1 for Lewis.
Not true. Tyson was much, much better, than how he is remembered. Tyson when fit, focused and with a decent training team, was at very least a pick em with ANY heavyweight from any era! People remember his post Prison debacle, not the 20yr old monster who was as good as anyone ever!
I think it would be a terrific fight, but i would have to say Tyson. People who say inside a round clearly are idiots. Bruno got to 5 rounds and he had a weak chin and poor defence. I'd say Tyson by 8-9 KO, but holyfield and a prime Foreman and Lewis would of always been his cryptonite!!
Come on he was hyped up and thought and old berbick for the title!! I can name half a dozen better heavyweights who would beat a prime for prime Tyson. Ali/Frazier/Foreman/Lewis/Holyfield/Louis
Tyson was a horrible hype machine, 2 year lay-off Holmes and all the other drug addicts he beat up can't match anyone on my list and you know it.
**** off! Tyson beats Frazier 10 from 10, and would have been heavily favoured over Holyfield Foreman and Lewis. I think he beats Louis too, his quickness and ferocity a match for anyone. Ali is Ali, but again, never fought anyone capable of beating him to the punch. Tyson may have been.
