I would add that I think that Tyson slipped somewhat between Etiene and McBride. Past a certain point a fighters decline seem to become general.
Tyson ages 18-34, Tyson by brutal KO Tyson in his mid 50s, Galento. There's a reason there's not a lot of guys in their 50s fighting guys in their 20s-30s.
Galento does not look like a trained fighter in this video. I have no idea what Tyson has left...but I've never seen any video where he looked worse than Galento. This content is protected
Even if Galento looks as bad as you say, there is still no reason to think that the current version of Tyson could beat him. Combat sports are not for men in their fifties, who have not fought in two decades.
I think it's better to look at actual fights to understand how a boxers fought: This content is protected Galento wasn't skilled fighter to say the least, but he didn't fight the way he showed in the training.
Tyson is far too old, I'm not even positive the version that lost to Mcbride beats him as I think Galento might be better than Mcbride. Holyfield isn't much older and he looked terrible against a 44 year old mma fighter
What do you fail to understand? Tyson faced another old man and they didn't fight for real. Here, he'd face someone who was willing to play dirty and Tyson has no physical advantages over him. Galento would do serious damage after few punches landed.
I feel Tyson`s power is still good and his reflexes are still beter than Galento`s were his hands were faster v Roy than the clumsy Galento`s were.
Tyson was already a shot fighter mentally and physically by the time he retired. You don’t recover from that no matter how impressive you look in the gym for the cameras.
It's amazing to me to think you have to explain why a 54 year old Tyson can't win a fight against any legitimate heavyweight. Added is suggesting that that version of Roy Jones could beat any live body in a ring is comical.
He`s got his head right and is in better shape, he was drugged out of his skull at the end of his career and was unfocused.
