And own undoing. Because it made Tim even hungrier. It gave him even more patience, determination, resolve and resilience. It actually made him stronger. And smarter. A completely reinvigorated beast. Even more so than before. Charlo was trying to dictate and stagnate Tszyu and make him rot, and make him wait. Trying to incite anger and frustration in him. But it did the opposite. He grew as a person and as a fighter and he grew a few more levels again as a result of these shambolic decisions by Charlo. He may have just fought Charlo, won, and took some time off. Like 6 months. Who knows. But he kept active, active when he didn't have to be against who he had to be. He took the hardest of the hardest roads possible risking it all in what could have been his own downfall and a dumb and deadly decision. But He DESTROYED ALL in his wake making him even more resilient and even more powerful. He played the waiting game during his fights for the best when he could have taken the worst. All Three of those fighters were nowhere near his level and he made them look like club fighters. What has happened to Charlo during this time? His so called '' master stroke '' chess move backfired and he got told by Tim '' Check mate '' himself. Charlo has effectively made Tszyu stronger while Charlo got weaker, in every way shape and form. Charlo's weakness became Tszyu's strength. And Charlo's regression became Tszyu's progression. Now the so called Alpha Lion ran and fled from The Jungle without Tim even having to throw a single punch at him. If you're going to play a game of psychological warfare, at least do it right and win. Not lose.
I get what you’re saying, but look at it from Charles POV. Why risk losing to Tszyu, a nobody, when you could instead lose to Canelo and get a massive payday? Charlo played defense to survive for 12 rounds without getting KOed or suffering injury. Then to top it off he left the fight with a clean face and massive payday. If he leaves boxing, the dude is set for life and has good health to boot. He walked out a winner. People have done far worse for money.
