Time for Floyd to start getting controversial I guess. Broner can give him advice.

What a shame! Had Floyd just said ahead of time that he would allow Maidana to hit him close to 200 times on purpose, people might have tuned him. Not even a last ditch appeal to the pro-life forces was enough to salvage the PPV.

I wonder how much Showtime can force Floyd to take more challenging fights. Floyd said he would make close to $70 million for the Maidana fight. My guess is that Haymon and Mayweather are so ingenious that they made all the money and allow Showtime and CBS to take the fall. Mayweather could take on any Tom, Dick, or Golden Boy Harry and still make a $30 million guarantee.

Espinoza does not have any projections on what the Mayweather-Maidana fight will generate on pay per view.

I'm a huge Maidana fan and I didn't even buy the fight. I thought Maidana would do fairly well in the first four rounds and then get dominated after that. I was not expecting him to do as well as he did throughout the whole fight. And also the under card really wasnt that good. Broner is a stupid ****, fighting a no name bum, and Khan-Collazo was only because people thought Khan would get knocked out again. So overall I think the buys is just about where it should have been

It has flopped. No doubt about it.

850K with the most expensive under-card ever just shows what a flop it was.:tired:tired:tired:tired

It was a fraud card from the beginning. At least Ghost v. Floyd had some good talent on the undercard in Mares and Santa Cruz. Broner isn't a talent and Khan is one good punch away from being a nobody
