The moment of truth for Ward. Will he rise to the occasion or disgrace the event?

He's number one. There's no rational argument you can make for any other boxer at that weight. You can delude yourself all you like though. You obviously have some issues accepting it so whatever makes you sleep at night. :good

Andre Ottke at it again. I have no respect for Ward at this point. Dawson has weighed over 190 pounds in the ring before and very recently. If Ward cared to challenge himself he would fight at 175 for Dawson's title and at a neutral site. Dawson will likely be a zombie which is too bad because it would be interesting to see how Ward would deal with his speed (possibly headbutt him into submission).

    Andre "Billy Goat" Ottke....

Toughest fight to predict that I can remember. Never seen either lose and have a hard time seeing either lose but 1 must.

And NO way did pacs beat Dawson, dawson threw more, landed more and he put a hurting on pacs never mind pacs was out on his feet right before the headbutt. He could even manage to throw a punch in round 10 and as badly badly hurt and wouldn't of had the slightest chance of seeing the end of round 12.

So I don't have a clue what will happen with 2 of my fav fighters. Draw would make me happy.

Anyone who suggests that Ward is not the best @ 168 really DKSAB. He easily (so easy it was almost sad) beat Froch. He also made Kessler cry like a little girl (its funny how when fighters light Froch and Hatton play rough and at home people tend to over look this and say that they manhandle people). As for Ward Traveling, very few champs fight on the road . . . if you are the man you call the shots. Dawson called out Ward so he wants the fight so Ward has leverage to set the terms.

I think what people are missing here is that the TWO BEST FIGHTERS BY FAR between 168-175 and squaring up . . . so don't hate appreciate.

BTW I am one of Wards greatest detractors (especially with his SOG BS), but y'all are turning me around because I am defending the guy lately. I always hated Larry Bird back in the day but I recognized his greatness and often defended him so eventually I became a fan. I always hated Jordan but people always talked how great he was (which I acknowledge) but never became a fan because people always talked such stupid **** about him. Damn it if he got rid of the SOG BS I might start liking the guy

All your points are valid. But in my opinion Ward just cant afford to spoil himself to another ugly UD. If he wants to be big in the sport he has to keep it clean. I think this fight will tell us much about Wards future career.

Nah, Jean beat that ass far and square. Dawson should try to avenge that lose before taking on Ward. But I think Pascal is fighting Cloud soon so it is a to late . . . but we should see that fight down the road

It will be a boring fight with no real punches landing from either fighter. Ward will get the decision and have proven nothing.

Dawson on the other hand deserves great respect for giving in to Ward's ridiculous demands in order to make this fight possible, otherwise Ward would likely be fighting Brian Magee in his actual backyard.

Ward is fighting an uphill battle, I think. Fighters like Kessler, Froch or Bute can fight average opponents and still make a nice payday. Ward tried to do the same, but Showtime refused, because it would not make enough money. Dawson vs Ward must sell and must not be a stinker, or Ward has a problem.

I think peoples thoughts on the Kessler fight is tainted. I picked Kessler to win the S6 but thought he got out boxed by Ward. The head butts are not the same as Bhop who uses them as a weapon. I think there styles would produce that type of contact nine fights out of ten at about the same rate. I think Kessler had sour grapes by losing so bad and his fans fed off of it or vice versa
