I don't see the problem. We have Matchroom judging so we may as well have Matchroom reffing also.

The referee kept a fight from happening, he ruined it for everyone and the judges were a total disgrace, it was a close fight because neither one did any real fighting, or landed a good punch! They both lost that fight............

    Ref was terrible

But Parker should have taken more risks. Seeing Ruiz - next time he will.

Joshua just got KOed by Andy Chub Chub Ruiz. His chin is suspect as is this quoted post.

lmao, this has aged well! :pipi

Isn't it entertaining going back over certain members' posts now and seeing the bias laid out in full.

Yes he got hit by price and needed a medical crew to pick him back up off the canvas!

So many clowns all in one place in this thread, who are once again proven dead wrong amidst all their tears and protests.

I know we don't agree on much when it comes to Wilder, but you're dead on with this post.

During the fight I was cheering for Parker, with him as a heavy underdog.
He did very well in my eyes. When I say that Parker provided the blueprint to beat AJ I mean it...

Look at the shot at 44:20 - it shook Joshua to his boots
The one that you timestamped is a very fair point. There was absolutely no reason to pause the action.

There were several instances when Parker fought AJ that I learned there were flaws in both AJ's offensive and defensive game.

If Parker had more dog in him, he would have stopped Joshua.
Other than natural advantages such as size, and reach Parker has the upper hand. Chin, power, speed, footwork all favoured Parker in that fight.

For what it's worth, I think Parker would beat Wilder, as Wilder wouldn't be able to help himself but engage. Leaving himself open to a fast straight shot. The chin that Wilder has isn't built for short sharp shots, much like Joshuas.

If there was one fight that Ruiz would have studied, this was it...

Jesus H christ, can you not make a post without mentioning Wilder.

Parker avoided Wilder, which is on record.

If Parker is getting rocked and knocked down by Dillian Whyte's punches, what effect do you think Wilder's right hand will have?

There is no evidence to suggest Wilder has a chin which isn't built for sharp shots, since he is the only HW out of the top 5 that hasn't hit the deck after being hit flush on the chin by big punchers.

It's why I never really take posters such as yourself seriously because you create your own myths and narratives which follow suit with your bias.

    In other words, trolls.

Basically this. Joshua had the right strategy, and I always thought people were unreasonably critical of him in this one. To be sure, the ref made some questionable judgments throughout the contest, which may well have had an impact on the flow of things, but I never saw anything that led me to believe Joshua was ever going to be in any serious trouble. Even if the ref had allowed for more action, I'm not sure that necessarily means Joshua would be rendered helpless - Joshua has always proven resourceful and capable, even in defeat against Ruiz.

he is in with a good chance in the rematch
