I've seen a lot of videos where they show one fighter's good work in the fight. Here's one with both. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yf69OWMOwTs
Thanks for posting That was one of the best fights that I have seen Floyd in for years. He showed that at 37 he can box and slug if required. He should have kept moving forward as Maidana at times struggles with boxing off his back foot. Maidana proved to all the world that he is a warrior and under Garcia he has became a much better boxer. Maidana also proved his body can take punishment since the Khan fight:hey Maidana :good :smoke
Anytime, I just wanted to be fair to both boxers. Show both of their work. Im done with the notion that Floyd made that fight easier than it needed to be. Even if he did, we wouldn't know. So im gonna go by what I see and just say it was a tough fight. You gotta give Chino and Garcia props. I posted this before the fight
Trust me I know you always call it without emotions:good The only time I am a jerk around here is to just **** on Blizzy:rofl I think Floyd was out to prove a point as well:bbb I also don't think Khan or anybody at 147 will continue to view Maidana as a stepping stone to bigger things as IMO Maidana is one of the top at 147:good :smoke
3:20 when i seen that in the fight i thought 2 thngs 1. floyd CLEARLY watches tapes of his opponents.. thats almost the exact same combination khan dropped him with 2. iv never seen floyd throw that before
Roger might not watch tape but Floyd is way too smart to not utilize every tool and watching tape is a tool. Floyd is a damn wizard in the ring:shock: :smoke
Good points. He also was finishing a lot of combinations off downstairs, which is quite unusual for Floyd.
WOW. Way to point that out. I never noticed that. And you're right is nearly identical to the Khan combo.
Has nothing to do with Cortez. Maidana clearly ran out of gas and didn't keep throwing, that's why Khan managed to survive. Might want to give credit to Khan for handling these attacks and staying in there rather than blaming the referee.
I saw it during the fight. I thought it was strange mayweather throwing cuff's instead of punches.. he normally lands very cleanly. I at the time thought he had hurt his left hand, which was why he was trying to land more with the wrist. I do VERY clearly remember being curious about it during the fight, but to think he stole it from Khan may be a bit of a stretch. That is a relatively basic combination.
