True, but that would have been so out of character for Leonard. You can't be the public nice guy and do stuff like that, Duran just wasn't known to be a nice guy. He did get some **** for the showboating during No Mas but nowhere near what Duran got for quitting.

Yeah Jr will be recall mostly for his 2 round knockout lost.

I think Ward remembered for his fights with Gatti.

Ross will be remembered for loseing to Armstrong more than his wins over the likes of Canzi.

Jack Johnson and Jeff will be remembered for there 1910 fight.

I think Ortiz movements are vs Brown.

Willie "The Worm" Monroe- For beating Marvin Hagler!!! Hagler has questioned and challenged every loss (and rightfully so!) he has had...Loss to Leonard & Watts (which even in Philly has been veiwed as a hometown decision) draws to Antuofermo & Seales (another Philly hometown decision)....Hagler said that the worm taught him a boxing lesson that would propell him to greatness..The only loss Hagler does not dispute!

Willie "The Worm" Monroe...Forgotten by nearly everyone, but the hardcore and Philly faithful....at his best able to beat the best!!!!

It's unfortunate that my top 3 favorites are best known for their losses.

    Arguello/Pryor

    Lopez/Sanchez

    Hearns/Haglar.

Here is what I know: I was at the fight, and there was a snow storm the attendance was very low and Monroe put on a clinical display!

I was young at the time, and can't verify or deny but what I hear is: Due to the weather there was no camera men or filming crews, and I have yet to get a positive answer from several collectors...my life pursuit is locating this footage and I have been unsuccessful so far...at this point I would say no known footage exists.

Well probably when Liston has quit on the stool and he runs around screaming "I am the greatest!!!" .

Personally I'm a bit tired of that scene myself and much prefer when Foreman is slowly, gradually going down and Ali has a perfect opportunity to deliver a killer blow to the defenceless Foreman but holds it in, almost as if not to spoil the beautiful moment with an undignified blow. Absolutely classic.

The Classic "single moment" of boxing history in my opinion.
