The more I revisit Calzaghe-Kessler..

I wish people would stop saying "so & so is the truth". It's really annoying.

 

Well, it depends on which versions of the two. But a prime Joe against current prime Kessler. Kessler wins 3 out of ten. Kessler is that good:good

Hilarious. That is the first time I have ever heard that one bro...maybe you should read the other replies to my post before saying such a bold statement.

Maybe you should go back and watch Kessler a little more OBJECTIVELY next time. Kessler is fundamentally very, very good. His mechanics are picture perfect. He has good power and accuracy. He also fights with ALOT of heart.

But his timing is awful. Its why he falls in love with that same combo over and over again. Its why many times vs Calzaghe, he found himself unable to hit a wide open target (his strong mechanics and fundamentals allowed him to at least stay in it early). And with no head movement, bad footwork and timing, there is NO WAY he has a good defense.

He is a quick hint...you can like a fighter....a fighter can be a good fighter....and still have flaws. Kessler is very good....BUT VERY OVERRATED! And your post proved my point...thank you.

And I still cant believe you said I dont know **** about boxing....you are the ONLY person on this site that agrees with that one buddy. And yes, I am sure of this.

Kessler has good timing. Its not up for discussion. AND he has a very sound and good defence - look at his stance and his movement. Look at more fights with him. Kessler has no head movement - yes I agree. The rest of your statements are ****.

You obviously just dont like conventional fighters. Get over it.

 

suesbuddy, I don't think you can in good conscience say Kessler has awful timing. I know it was but one part of your overall point that Kessler doesn't have terrific defense (and that point I grant you), but you in the same breath called him very accurate, which it's very hard to be with awful timing...

 

I'm only 23 dude. It's just it's being over used like the now tired cry of "hater". They lose their impact.
