You have a pretty good track record of stating opinions that are the opposite of fact, so I agree with the implication here that Kessler is quite fast. :good

I think Johnson troubles him with his output and inside fighting...keeping it close but losing on the cards. Close fight as Johnson's strength is inside, Kessler is not an inside fighter. He may be able to beat him.

Dawson would destroy Kessler. That is the FURTHEST thing from a 50/50 fight.

Hopkins accuracy is not diminished. There is NOTHING that shows that. In fact, his most recent fight proves the opposite. He fought one of the best defensive fighters of this era...and hit him cleaner than anyone has in over a decade. No idea why you keep saying that???

As for how a fight with them would look....are you serious? Calzaghe ruined his style and made him fight his fight....but Hopkins (one of the best EVER at doing that) couldnt? And with Kessler's lack of head movement and the fact that Bernard is DEADLY accurate, and has PINPOINT timing (there is NO WAY he is losing that...sorry), he would hit Kessler AT WILL! I could honestly see him landing at or near 50% of his punches. Add in the fact that Kessler falls in love with the same combo....with Hopkins counter punching ability?

    This fight wouldnt be close.

And Jones timing and speed would be WAAAAAAAY to much for Kessler. Be serious bro.

I think Mikkel could compete at 175....but would he be as good as he would at 168? HELLLLLL NO!

Really depressing note I found on boxrec about this fight:

    • In the United States, this fight had the lowest ratings ever for a prime-time 'World Championship Boxing' telecast on HBO.

I'd agree with this to a point if we were dealing with the Johnson of 2004-2005, he hasn't looked that great lately though and would lose almost every round.

Prime Johnson loses badly also, the older Johnson of 2004-2005 was much better because of all of the experience, that version would take a few rounds and keep it fun, but would lose on the cards clear and comfortably, if Tarver's jab and movement had Dawson troubled...:yep

I disagree. Dawson can be controlled with a jab and is really open to a straight right hand. Someone you can relate to, a prime Hopkins' lead right, would land on Dawson very frequently, but Kessler has the power to spark Dawson. It's a 50/50 fight.

Kessler's movement is a bit quicker.

Winky is notable for one of the best defenses, but at his prime. Taylor landed as many good right hands on Wright, but people forget that because Taylor took more shots in the end and let Wright control him.

Wright also looked like total **** at 170 and Hopkins being a good mover had a tremendous size and style advantage.

He ought to have landed more on Wright, but instead he dropped rounds and was fatigued at several points in the fight.

We're not dealing with anything resembling the best version of Hopkins.

**** man, if Hopkins was weary of Taylor's jab and straight, imagine Kessler's workrate mixed with his jab and straight and other great pin point shots that you don't seem to give him credit for.

    Agreed, Kessler stops him.

The Jones that allowed TRINIDAD to land shots on him and fought in spurts?

Jones gets KTFO at this point. Prime to prime he dominates and stops Kessler, of course.

He'd be #1 or #2, depending on the Dawson bout, if that ever came off.

I expect Kessler to be heavily avoided, sadly, he's a serious danger.

And people wonder why Calzaghe had trouble getting the 'big names' in there with him in his earlier career. This is pathetic, that was a great fight between two of the best in the world around the weight range.

But this shows why they aren't putting it on PPV for Hopkins-Joe. Hopkins-Winky was a horrible fight and I doubt many people want to buy his fights anymore, then Joe's ratings there.

Seems we're all Tysonian's though, no need to get hasty when we have classic fanboy's who think Louis and Marciano beat him to convert.

Dawson is a bad style for Kessler, and has quicker handspeed and a much better defence. But Kessler moves quicker and has a right hand that could end Dawson's night really fast, a right hand that Dawson is very open against.

    So it's a 50/50 fight.

    Dawson decision or Kessler knockout.

Yeah, and Adamek doesn't have that type of timing, speed and accuracy. So this bout is not a foregone conclusion, if it ever hopefully comes off.

Diaconu could very well end Dawson's night also, if he was able to get some of those crushing left hooks in.

Dawson's chin makes him very vulnerable to less skilled warriors that know how to use what they have well.

29 stoppages in 39 wins, frightening accuracy... on Pavlik's shaky jaw. Not to mention that Kessler is a huge SMW.

Taylor putting Pavlik in a world of trouble should be a clear indication, considering he couldn't even stop some small LMW fighters.

You need medication man...every thread I've seen where you post theres always an ignorant pissing match going on between you and someone else....you claim people insult you by disagreeing with you then throw ignorant profanities around....Why??
Can't you like boxing and converse with people who have different views without ripping their heads off?? Instead of making a valid case illustrating your points of view...I think you love to hate boxing..not sure why..but good luck on keeping your blood pressure down..try meditation or pot:rasta

See there you go again "Schmuck"
I'm in agreement with you about the majority opinions Kessler and Calzaghe have on here....and nobodys asking you to tow the line either
Sometimes ignoring others ignorance only gives you more credibility
And yes Joe C is the Cardiff Ice Rink Champion...I'm impressed he's beaten two great fighters in his Career...Pavlik did this in 07 alone.. Cheers mate

Pavlik can't fight going backwards, he likely would have been KOed by Andrade.

With good reason, Taylor is nearly a feather fist.
